But unfortunately some say Cotto was drained @ 145 against Pac but the fight before that he weighed in @ 146 against Clottey.

Honestly how the **** is Mayweather a stylistic night mare for Pacquiao?

If anything it is the other way round.

Don't bring up Marquez either because he is much better at fighting toe to toe than Mayweather is (which is required to beat Pacquiao).

Since you feel Pac's win was so much better can you address some of the points made besides the catchweight. Another question you could please answer for me is how do you bash Mayweather for fighting Cotto 3 YEARS after his last devastating loss yet basically all of Pacquiao's opponents were destroyed similarly to Marg-Cotto in the 12 MONTHS leading into his fights but there is no "backlash".

Another stupid poll. Better win Pac v Marquez I, II, III, IV or Floyd v Marquez? In four fights, Manny hasn't figured out Juan. Floyd did it as a tune up fight.

Before the Pac vs Cotto fight happened, people here on ESB saying how damaged Cotto was in the Margarito fight and past his best etc... but when Mayweather fought Cotto, he was demolished by Pac.

And not just me that feel that Pac's win was so much better.. look at the poll. Pac way ahead!

Of course its another stupid poll for you, because you probably expected the poll to be in Mayweathers favour.

expecting to get an exact answer on an online pole is foolish it's all about starting a discussion. People use Cotto being demolished by Pac and Marg as an excuse to say he wasn't good and discredit the win by Mayweather but if you can't see the extreme differences in the circumstances surrounding these two fights your almost blind.
Once again the Marg, Clottey fights/beatings are relevant in Pac's case because between July 08-Nov 09 which is a little over a year Cotto was brutalized by Margarito, won a vacant belt vs Jennings, then should have loss that belt to Clottey, culminating with Pacquiao somewhat feasting on the scraps. Combine that with a fighter with an inexperienced trainer who pretty much trained himself. (I'm not sure but I think at one point during the camp Cotto's trainer was having problems even being allowed in the US), also a fighter a one of there worst points mentally.

in Mayweather's case you have almost a 180 Pac-Cotto again happened Nov 09 May-Cotto May 12 thats almost 3 YEARS removed from his last loss and was also coming in off a confidence building win vs the man to take his 0, he was being guided by one of the BEST trainers in the game in Pedro Diaz, and was facing a opponent that was headed to jail.

If your so up in armed about May fighting Cotto 3 years after a loss how can you respect Pac for fighting Morales coming off a loss 3 times fighting De La Hoya less than a year off a loss Hatton less than a year after a loss, Mosley 6 months after a draw and loss act..

Wherein Floyd cheated Marquez on the scales by being overweight, plus the fact that Floyd let Marquez go up in division? Yeah nice win there :D

Its not about coming off a loss, In my opinion Pac vs Cotto @ 145 was a better win compared to Mayweather vs Cotto @ 154 because at that time Pac was fighting a Solid Welterweight in Cotto which is Pac's 2nd fight @ Welterweight and seeing how Cotto looked very good in the first 3 rounds and then how Pac just demolished Cotto. After that fight, the Mayweathers started accusing Pac being on PEDS etc... Obviously they saw something is Pac that made Mayweather sr feel threatened.

1 day before Pacquiao vs Cotto.

Mayweather sr: ''I see a stoppage, Pacquiao can't take body shots''.

    Easily Pac's win.
Floyd's win was at 154 (Cotto was much more accomplished and comfortable at 140-147........I dont believe the 2lb catchweight was as decisive as most of Manny's detractors claim), and was hard-fought.

Manny took him on when he (Cotto) was seen as probably the biggest threat to him at Welter, in a fight that alot of people - me included - picked Cotto to win.

After the mesmerizing first few rounds, when PAc KD'd Cotto and Cotto rose on shaky legs, it was the turning point of the fight and Pac's systematic destruction over the rest of the fight had me and others watching gobsmacked.

It was the apex of Pacquiao's peak; a truly defining moment and an amazing thing to behold.

When Floyd fought him it was a totally different kettle of fish. Cotto was already seen as way past prime and at 154lb Cotto had hardly cemented a fearsome reputation at that weight; winning a belt off feather fisted Foreman. Winning a hard fought, scrappy TKO against Mayorga and then winning his long awaited veangance over Margarito. Nobody gave Cotto a chance prior to the Mayweather fight.

And Cotto gave Floyd more problems than any fighter since Castillo.

So without question, Manny's win is easily the better one.
