Wilder? What year are we in now? 2030? Wilder is still at the beginning of a very early and thin resume career. He has not proven anything yet. Mike Tyson proved more before he was even champion.

Wilder is 32 and already seems to have one foot out the door mentally, I don't expect him to add much of value to his ledger esp if his handlers rush him into a big unification match with Joshua.

Is this even a serious question?

@Dubblechin thinks there's a fair comparison to be made between the two.

The benchmark for having a better resume than Wilder, currently stands at beating two top ten opponents.

I don't think that even Seamus thinks that Dempsey's record is that bad!

heavyweights have an advantage to being lazy and wanting out of boxing. If guys like Wilder or Fury were lower weight, they wouldn't have the decision. Another fighter would beat them who has motivation. At heavyweight they can be like that. Which is why I never respect heavyweights as much. Guys like Tony Tubbs and Witherspoon, good fighters who were up and down in weight and motivation. You never saw a great like Hagler or Hearns unmotivated like that.

He's often wrong, so I wouldn't put much weight into that.

You're the one who made the Wilder/Dempsey resume comparison, not me.

You know, in another thread I said Wilder should be allowed a year to take PEDs so he could kill Ortiz in the ring ... why don't you start a thread asking people if they think it's okay for Wilder to take PEDs and murder Ortiz in the ring?

    The clown show continues.

Wilder's going to be around a while. At some point, you're going to wake up to the fact that he is and has been pretty damn good.

Wilder has a powerful right hand.....that's it. No defense. A live opponent will clean his clock.

Dempsey ripped through every top contender as well as the champion of his day like a buzz saw. The man was more like a real life Freddy Krueger.
