Gotta reserve judgement, not having seen Robinson-Gavilan 2, but the wins are probably different 'kinds' of wins and so it is hard to compare even if we take reports of Robinson-Gavilan 2 as accurate.

In my opinion whilst Leonard was made to look bad by Hearns, that was Tommy at the peak of his powers putting on a career best performance. Never again did Hearns show such ability for mine. For Ray to somehow find a way to win was pretty special. A win that showcases Leonard's mettle more so than his talent.

Robinson's win (allegedly) was more of superior talent leading to an outclassing of a quality opponent.

This is how I see it. Thus Leonard/Hearns for me.

Leonard Hearns was a bigger win. The reason? Media hype, the win over Cuevas, Tommy's sharp punching, his physical dimensions, his unbeaten record, killer right hand, and his extraordinary potential which would not be reached for another few years. many however like myself felt Ray would win. Ray was also the more solid fighter at the time
