I have wondered what others think is the better win

Is it Foreman over Frazier or Hearns over Duran?

    Foreman-Frazier.

Frazier was a much better heavyweight than Duran was a Jr. Middleweight.

Hearns over Duran. Style-wise you can see both eventual winners winning the fight. Both were stunning wins because noone could see the opponent getting blown out with such ease. The difference is the finality of Hearns' win. Frazier was bombed...but he kept getting up. Hearns destructiion of duran was explosive and a stunningly sudden end to the fight with duran out cold flat on his face. The one punch "Goodnight sweet prince" aspect of hearns over duran is the difference.

The arguement for Foreman would be based on the fact that frazier was suppose to be at his peak/prime at the time he was beaten while duran was well past his prime weight and his prime physically. However NOONE thought a guy like duran could be ktfo face first by anyone.

I'm going with Hearns Duran becuz of Duran's versatility. add to the fact that he gone the distance with Hagler w/o getting in any trouble. this set me up for a real shock and to this day has left the biggest impression on me with TH waving his arm in victory. Even more than Foreman-Frazier. Even more stunning to me was the blowout of Shuler. Hearns looked very impressive in his new muscular body

Hearns/Duran. No one expected Duran to be stopped, even by Hearns. The predictions before the fight were Hearns by decision.

Definitly Foreman-Frazier. This has become hugely underrated as an upset, as hardly anyone picked George to win. In fact, more boxing writers picked Ali to beat Foreman.

Both are sensational wins, Hearns was fave but the style of his win was earth shattering, Foreman was underdog and his performance was also earth shattering. Two of the greatest and most electric showings ever.

Foreman over Frazier. Both cases have the underdogs winning in an unprecedented blowout, but Frazier was always at his best at Heavyweight, while Duran was not his same sensational self at Jr. Middleweight, and Smokin Joe was still at a point in his career where he could nearly match the version of Ali that beat Foreman himself. They're not too far apart, but I think Foreman's win stands out more.

Hearns was the favorite but I never expected Hearns to hit him so clean and dominate Duran and stop him like that. Hearns/Duran is iconic. Probably the best knockout win ever.

Without having to point out that Duran was a far greater fighter than Frazier,Hearns knocked out a man who had an excellent chin.Foreman stopped a champion that had a weak chin.

    That's a bit harsh don't you think?

Frazier was undefeated and had only been down the two times against Bonavena in his tenth fight and had soaked up heaps from the likes of Quarry and Ali so you could hardly say he had a weak chin.Plus subsequently Fraziers chin would withstand a hellacious amount of punishment against Ali again before Foreman got to him once more.

No when I think of weak chins I think of someone like Michael Grant,Floyd Patterson and the guy in your avatar.

Foreman-Frazier. Foreman was a 3-1 underdog and beat the unbeaten champion from pillar to post. As has been pointed out, Hearns on the other hand was the favourite going in against a guy who had been well beaten twice before at the weight.
