Of course she will be calling InterBox. This is exactly what I would have done myself, in her stead. And this is the best move for Kessler, right now. Of course, this doesn't mean that InterBox will say YES! But if Kessler calls Bute out and Bute says NO, as indeed he should right now, Bute will lose some respect and love from his fans - it will have been the first time that he would have dodged a first-class opponent.
Trying to paint Lucian as the bad guy will only lose KESSLER fans...only scenario under which Lucian would have been morally obliged to fight Kessler next is the one under which Kessler had beaten Calzaghe and had wanted to unify. But why should Lucian feel obliged to fight a Mikkel on the rebound? Mikkel is better than that, much better. Not only would it be silly to try to make Lucian look cowardly - it would be completely out of character for Kessler. Of course Kessler should make the point of having Bute say NO and thus get one over him, morally, but anything more than that - big mistake.
As I said in a previous post, Bute doesn't want to be the stepping stone for Kessler, which he would be right now. Interboxe is more intelligent then this. Take a look at the progression they planned for their boxers (Diaconu, Bute, Lucas) They were all masterfully groomed for the big night and they all succeeded. (Agreed that Diaconu hasn't fought a title fight yet but just think about becoming the mandatory). It would be a huge mistake to take on Kessler right now.
