If you are 100% sure of a Mayweather victory, now is the time to bet while the odds are in favor of Floyd.

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- The fight hasn't been made yet, and may not ever happen. But this city's casinos are already taking bets on who will win if the Philippines' Manny Pacquiao and American Floyd Mayweather Jr. ever get into the ring.

Pacquiao, coming off his dominating win over Miguel Cotto, opened as an 8-5 favorite at sports books operated by Station Casinos, and it didn't take long for bettors to take a side. Several $20,000 bets were put down on Mayweather, forcing the line down to 7-5 in the early going, said Art Manteris, the casino operator's vice president of sports book operations.

"It's been pretty decisive in the early going," Manteris said. "I think I made the line a little too high but that's the nature of the business."

Manteris said he made Pacquiao the favorite based largely on the public perception of his big win over Cotto. Most of the early bets, he said, came from professional handicappers, who thought the line was too high.

Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum said he was ready to begin negotiations with Mayweather's promoter on a fight, while Mayweather issued a statement Monday saying he wanted to hear from Pacquiao himself that he really wants the fight.

Those from Vegas and are very confident of a Floyd win should put their bet now. The odd might change in the future and will favor Floyd.

If the fight is signed I will bet 2 stacks on PBF. I hope more people bet on on Pac and the odds keep getting better for a Pac win. This will be the easiest money I would have ever made.

If the odds still favour Pacquiao closer to the fight actually occurring, I'll be laying a good chunk of change on Floyd.

Before, I would have heavily favored Floyd, but now, I think I changed my mind and think the midget got a legit chance. Pac will surely get hurt, but he has to take those shots to get to Floyd. He gotta take some to give some. I've seen how Pac took Cotto's shots, it is just how Floyd can take Pac's shots because Pac aint JMM, he'll keep coming forward, but will also depends on how he will take Floyd shots. If Sr has his concerns, I take that as he thinks his son can get hurt win or lose.

By the time the fight is signed, I'm sure the betting odds will not be the same anymore. It will more or less equalize if not favor Floyd. Now is the best time to bet for Floyd.
