    Cage Fighter on earth?

Vov put together an unbelievable streak of tournament wins.

    Kerr was nearly killing people.

Royce Gracie was the daddy until UFC 4/5.

Marco Ruas was the prototype of an MMA’er

Coleman was the grappling version of Tyson

Who was the best cage fighter on earth between that period?

Igor Vovchanchyn no doubt, grappling, and striking, he was the man. He dismantled superheavy weights while he himself was a decent sized Lightheavy weight.

How do you reckon he would have fared in the UFC during that time?

Tank, Frye, Ruas, Shamrock, Severn, Coleman, Kerr, Rutten, Randleman... that's a list of killers.

Rutten was a lot smarter in MMA fights than anybody during his era:

I think they're all a nightmare for him, and vice versa.

Bas Rutten is probably the correct answer although can understand why people have mentioned Vovchanchyn
