Also a fair argument, but I still have to pick Jones, just freakish reflexes to go along with speed and respectable power.

A while back someone said that the speed was tampered with on the Tyson video during his shadowboxing segments.

I post this to show you that it wasn't, Tyson was just that fast.

Jones was bred to fight, and adopted his fighting style from the birds he used to help raise as a kid. Tyson on the other hand came from the mean streets of Brooklyn, beating up who ever he can to survive, he was built naturally strong and had the killer instinct that cant be taught in the gym.

I think raw talent means something different to everyone, if were talking brute strength and the natural, violent mentality, Tyson's your choice. If were talking reflexes and speed, then Jones is your choice.

I picked Tyson, but only by a very slim margin.

No doubt, I just thought his killer instinct and brute strength early on is what made him so special at an early age, the great reflexes he gained came through Cus' training program, Jones on the other hand had it even before he was a teen.

i'm not a fan of his, but rjj was definitely no joke in the talent department. him and tyson are in the top flight in terms natural ability. i voted tie, cause both were just freaks.

tyson definitely had a fighters instinct. imo, tyson's always had great reflexes. slipping punches is just as much about natural reflexes as it is technique.

Slipping punches is something that is learned over time, Teddy Atlas said "Tyson didnt walk into the gym and start knocking people out, his toughness is what drew me to him", he went on further talking about a sparring session early in the development of Mike, where he was put in the ring against a much older more experienced fighter, where Tyson was getting beat on and bloodied, Teddy stopped the session, but Tyson wanted to keep going.

I wont argue the fact that Tyson didnt have good reflexes or that early on, but without Cus, Teddy, and Rooney, the Tyson we see in some of those training videos, would of never been.

I agree, 20 yr old tyson would of savagely Koed roy. That version of tyson was his most savage best. He would of been all over roy like a bad rash. No way does roy beat that version of tyson.
