I think their problem was that they were blasting out everything put in front of them, compiling what could be described as padded records, yet the level of opposition wasn't going anywhere, until Lee ran into Vera.

The whole point is to make a gradual progression, rather than beat a load of chumps before being KTFO at the first step up - ala Lee.

I wouldn't say Hatton is overhyped mate - he is just extraordinarily popular, perhaps because he is just a normal geezer who doesn't pretend that he is anything he isn't, and is not obsessed with the celebrity culture that seems intent on ruining our nation (and many others in theirs).

He likes a crispy duck and a beer, and admits it - what is wrong with that!

Thanks. Andy Lee will win a title or even dominate the division, Duddy will loose everytime he faces a top10 middleweight although the divison is very weak. If he wants a shot at Pavlik, why doesn't he face a top20 guy?

:good now marty's talking sense, when brawler mentioned duddy being a hype job he conveniently mentioned lee, also irish!!!!some people seem to be just a little bitter, i like hatton as a fighter and hes a good guy beeston brawler, but if you want to go slagging the irish lads careers think about your own boy,he got shown up against mayweather and was close to it against a has been former lightweight in lazcano,oh ya who he nearly tasted canvas against only for a biast referee to save him.duddy aint no world beater, and andy lee needs work, but their prospects looking better than alot of your fighters...

I dont' doubt Duddy may have potential. I think he learned a valuable lesson in his last fight. Still, he needs to step up in competition about 3 to 5 fights, each a tougher opponent before he even considers getting into the ring with Pavlik. Go look at Pavlik's slate. I think it was McCart where they kept inching him up in the competition level. Lockett was his first step backwards. Calzaghe is next though.:yep

Duddy needs to prove he belongs in the ring with Pavlik. I admire Duddys spirit
and dont want to see him hurt.

Vince, Duddy's gonna get destroyed. He's an entertaining fighter, but guys who get in wars with a shot Yori Boy Campus don't beat top level fighters like Pavlik in their prime. If he lasts 5 rounds, it'll be an accomplishment.

    Lads calm the **** down.

I'm a Duddy fan but he doesn't belong in the ring with Pavlik but neither does anyone else at 160 other than Abraham.Right now Pavlik would destroy every middleweight the way he destroyed Lockett.Duddy would probably last 5 or 6 rnds because of his excellent chin and i think he is certainly better than Lockett but with less pop.
Abraham is the only one i see giving Pavlik any trouble but i still see Pavlik knocking him out in 9 or 10

    WTF ???

If you include Mexico within the US ?

If you include Portugal within Spain ?

If you include Japan within China?

If you include Pakistan within India?

    Seriously though, you're right.

While both are good lads and I'm sure, decent sorts, rumors of their greatness seem premature.

They need a bit more bringing along before they're ready for the Pavliks of the world.

OMG....I honestly don't ever want to see Duddy/Pavlik. I enjoy watching boxing, not murder
