Beware Pavlik! Duddy coming back and he's gunning for you!

Duddy is a very likeable and fan friendly fighter. And he won the friggin fight! thru some disheartening situations (fight on with a huge gash over his eye).

Now he is with Pat Burns, if I recall right, and expect him to improve.

Of course I will still pick Pavlik if they do get together (I would take Pavlik over Kong and Godzilla too though), but no need for anybody to hate on Duddy.

 

I don't consider Ireland as actually 'part' of Britain - however, I often compare Irish to, say, English and/or Scottish, therefore it often falls under the 'British' tag.

To be honest, as a proud Yorkie, being called English or a Brit doesn't bother me one bit, and wouldn't expect it to bother anyone else. What really does **** me off is the likes of Peter Mandleson, who stated that he is 'a European through and through' - what kind of bollocks is that?

 

the term british conjures images of oppression..brutality...descrimination...hatrad...and centuries of violence perpetrated against the irish people by the british...so dont banter it about as a light term in reference to an irishmans nationality...learn about the history of conflict betwwen Ireland and britain...then u will understand...why it is offensive to call us british:deal

Martin Lydsey is from Northern Ireland he is due to fight for the British title. Martin Rogan wants a shot at the British title.

People from Northern Ireland are British but can take Irish citzenship as well if they choose. For the purpose of finance, ie mortgages, loans etc they are deemed as British.

Inhabitants of Great Britain, the United Kingdom, or associated territories.

Duddy is British whether he likes it or not. It's not meant to be an insult and I don't appreciate receiving mindless insults when all I'm doing is stating a fact.

Personally, I couldn't care if he is British, Irish or Martian. I'm a boxing fan who cares nothing for nationalities, I care about boxing.

You must be kidding? I like Duddy, however don't think he is in the same league as Pavlik. Hes not. Did you see Lockett's face after that fight? He was covered in skid marks. He had a bruise on his forehead. The funniest thing was how Lockett tried to staredown Pavlik with the hard look. Duddy will get hurt, cut to shreds, then KO'ed.

 

What makes me British?

 

At lightweight. Duddy wants to fight a BIG middleweight. Big difference.
