Wellif his win over McCallum means nothing to you, then what would have been the poiunt of fighting Nunn or Jackson?

We agree that Eubank wanted no part of Jones.

We could go back and forth of Dariusz, some people say he wanted to fight, some say he never wanted to leave Germany, theres proof on both sides.

Benn, is one that should have possibly been made, but never did, not that I think for a second that Benn would have beaten Jones.

I dont see for a second why McClellan-Jones couldnt have been made, the guys were friends, and it would have been a big money fight.

Jones fought great fighters before that fight, and I dont see why he wouldnt have fought Gerald.

Like I said, Jones resume is MASSIVELY under-rated, by people who want to re-write history.

When Dariusz was beating complete nobodies in Germany, Jones was fighting topm contenders, who because he beat them so easily, got immediately labelled as bums.

Woods was probably a top 5 at least LHW when he fought Jones and Jones made him look foolish.

Gonzales who would go on to beat Dariusz was clowned for 12 rounds by Jones.

    Even Hall gave Dariusz problems.

The money for Dariusz was in America. You can claim all you want that Dariusz was technically the man and linear champ, but who cared??

Baldomir was limear champ at ww when Floyd fought him and nobody liked that fight.

Jones was the name, and Jones was the money. It was up to Dariusz to get on a plane and come to America. Effots by Jones to make that fight never came to fruition. All signs point to him wanting that fight.

Of course, look at Mayweather-Pacquiao, neither guy ducked the other, but between Top Rank, Bob Arum and Floyd Mayweather, politics has gotten in the way of this fight ever happening. If Pacquiao was a Golden Boy fighter, it would have happened by now

As for Jones-DM, it's hard to say why it didn't happen. I personally think both guys were happy to stay away from the other. If you look around the internet, you can see several quotes from both parties contradicting the other, but nothing conclusive. For the record, I think Jones would have won by decision

I've never come across any exact numbers, but they did make an offer for Dariusz to share a bill with Jones to promote interest for a future unification bout

Top performance by Gonzalez. I had him winning by 2 points. It's a shame that Graciano never got a rematch sooner. h2h I would favour him over Dariusz

You implied bouts with Jackson and Nunn were pointless because they were past prime I merely pointed out Jones had no problem fighting guys past their best.

    Fair enough.

We'll never know, Benn had the power to spark Jones out clean with one connect.

The fact they were friends would have made the perfect excuse NOT to make the fight.

What do you think both Benn and McCellan had in comman?

I find it to be satisfactory when it should have been soo much better given his ability and the competition available.

Again styles makes fights, the 'A beats B. because A beat C who beat B' argument doesn't work. The fact is people wanted to see the fight and we never got it, just go back and watch the whole of the video I posted in my previous post to you and you'll see a fighter with no hunger content on defending his trinket belt.

I still remember that very moment he said that. I was like what cocky MF, I hope somebody spark his ass one day. Soon after Tarver answered my call and it was sweet as hell.

It only work for PAC . A can beat B, B can beat C, C and beat A, but when they meet PAC they all lose.

They weren't friends. Gerald didnt like him. Gerald blamed Jones for the fact that he never went to the Olympics while Jones, a fighter he beat, went instead. Getting Jones in the ring was his dream fight

What I saw in that video was a guy who was really willing to go the extra mile and try to actually make a fight with Jones...namely Steve Collins.

I never saw Dariusz at a Jones fight,or calling him out saying things like "Ill go to your country Roy,Ill beat you there, Ill fight you where ever whenever!" Which is what Collins was shouting as Jones was talking to Merchant.

I also saw another thing in that video. Merchant showed him a list of 4 fighters(Johnson,Hpokins,Michaelzsewski, and Telesco) and mention Collins.

    Of those 5.
He went on to beat Johnson and Telesco.
He had already beaten Hopkins, and Hopkins was notorious for being difficult in negotiations.
He agreed to fight Collins, but Collins ended up collapsing in training for his comeback, which ruled the fight out.

From what I can see,Jones was willing to fight whoever!

Sure Benn and McClellan could hit hard.

So could a bunch of other guys he fought.

You really think he didnt fight those guys because of their power, yet had no prob going up to Heavyweight to fight a guy 30 lbs heavier, and who had a decent KO ratio.

Are you saying that Nigel Benn could hit harder than John Ruiz?

Look at the huys Jones fought. Plenty had big KO ratios.

Nigel Benn could beat Roy. If he was allowed to smash Roy in the back of the head like he did Gerald.

    Others no lol. Just no.

Who cares about who Roy would have beaten or 'could have beaten'
:D THIS INTERVIEW was ****ing funny as hell because he kept bragging about how much of a genius he was and how he was scared after seeing what happened to Gerald.
    :D

LISTEN TO HIS GOD DAMN QUOTES

""If I fight for reals PEOPLE WILL WIND UP DEAD'

""I am a GENIUS' "I will kill 4 OSCARS AT ONE TIME"
    :patsch

I didn't know having the ability to ko someone 3 weight classes below you made you tough.
