It was a beating. ......but it wasn't the most vicious onslaught we've ever seen. Nard has a good chin. He knows how to take some mustard off shots that he absorbs......He's conditioned.....but he's been down before......He's been hurt before bit he's never been stopped. If anyone was going to stop Bhop it was going to be Kovalev. 2 months shy of 50 years old, Kovalev had the oldest world champion ever right in front of him for at least 12 rounds and one of the best KO ratios in the entire sport aiding him in knocking out Bernard. However. ......he won definitively.....swept the entire fight and even scored a knock down in the process. I just wasn't as impressed as a lot of other fans. I was impressed with his boxing. He controlled distance from jump and only fell into a handful of Hopkins traps. But if he was truly the goods he wouldn't have let this version of Hopkins go 12. Not with the kind of reputation the network is selling.

Not even a very soon-to-be prime RJJ could say that.

You know nothing. Hopkins lost but he did show amazing defensive skills. Hopkins wasn't hurt & very seldom did he get hit on the chin. Most of the shots that landed were high on the head. If you can't stomach pro boxing then pick another sport to watch. You know nothing.

He definitely should be monitored for the next few days. That was a severe 12 round humiliating beat down. Ward would get killed no doubt because he would engage better.

Bhopal looked great. Made Kovalev miss so many punches. I think he wins the Rematch.

True......but to me that has more to do with a very weak division. Kovalev is good.....don't get me wrong but a great fighter wouldn't have let a 50 yr old Hopkins make it 12. Now Kovalev could become great.....but at this stage I don't see it, yet. He's still young and fresh having started his pro career late, but he's had a very extensive AM background.
