It was really the 12th round where Nard took most of his punishment. But his strategy throughout was very conservative and cautious. Laying traps that Kovalev evaded most of the time. But Kovalev wasn't punishing Bhop throughout. He was just doing enough to win rounds in clear fashion....landing more, throwing more ect.

Actually Kovalev took a gulp of air before every word in the post fight interview. They probably pumped oxygen into his lungs after he got back to the locker room. Hopkins, on the other hand, seemed relaxed, gracious in defeat and spoke very clearly.

The damage usually sets in after 10 - 15 yrs after your career ends. Unlike ali, who was damaged whilst fighting!!

Hopkins always always speaks with a bit of slag, but he sounds no different than any other interview i have seen of him.

The only thing i noticed is that he took a few more pauses between sentences, could be because he was still feeling the fight or he just wanted to pick his words very carefully.

    Either way he seemed fine.

Or because he never went past 8 rounds and was fighting with his mouth open after 3 you imbecile. I'm not discrediting him. I'm making the point that Hopkins was completely lucid. Get your brain game up.

Exactly. Bhop wasnt taking the beating that people are saying. The only times he really looked bad was when he was on the ropes. In the centre of the ring he looked pretty good.
