BHOP can win an award for the ugly man and worst personality since Larry Holmes....these are some of his latest remarks

"I would never let a white boy beat me," Hopkins told reporters. "You can print that. I would never lose to a white person."

FIRST OF ALL HE IS RIGHT, I DONT REMEMBER HIM EVER FIGHTING A WHITE FIGHTER WITH THE SKILL LEVEL OF PAVLIK OR CALZAGE, IN FACT, TAYLOR WAS HIS BEST OPPONENT, HOYA AND WRIGHT WERE SMALLER AND TRINADAD ALSO, I KNOW ITS ALL HYPE BUT ITS A CLASSLESS REMARK AND I THINK HOPKINS WOULD HAVE GOTTEN BUSTED UP IF HE FOUGHT DARIUS MICHALESKI (WHO WAS WHITE) or Hagler who was a Classy Black fighter and had Class in speach, something Bhop is lacking

Bernard Hopkins has made remarks about Caucasians before. There was an article on another boxing website where Hopkins said that blacks were genetically predisposed to having faster feet and better footwork then whites.

Just as classless as Toney stating he'd never be beat by those "white Russians", in the meanwhile twice not accepting a titleshot offered by both Klitschko's when he needed one.

Hopkins will probably have to eat his words if he fights Calzaghe or Pavlik.
But he'll probably price himself out of that one like he's done in the past.

I ran into this avatar from someone in the general forum

Oh what a Pandora's box can be opened by talking about "genetic disposition" concerning races. I suppose that when it suits the purpose of a racist, which is what Hopkins is, to talk about the things he can cite that are positve that can be backed up by genetic predisposition, then it's okay, but if statistics should suggest that something negative can be backed up by the same criteria, then all that stuff is quickly swept off the table and not open to any further discussion.

It reminds me of Toney calling Sam Peter a slave and telling him to get a bananna boat back to Africa.

Hopkins in his prime would beat Pavlik, I don't know about Calzaghe but Pavlik would be stopped.

At this point, I expect that sort of talk from Toney. But not Bernard.
