Jones is old as **** and washed the **** up as well, so your boy is waisting his time, when he should be gunning for the Tarver/dawson winner, which would be more of a test for him and more respect from everybody including the Calzaghe haters. So you should be mad at Calzaghe for playing himself, not the people who tell it like it is. I know if I was a Calzaghe fan, i'd be pissed to that he's waisting his time fighting Roy Jones Jr. because anybody that has any real boxing knowledge can see right thru that.

Jones is only 3 years older than Joe so not much difference but one major difference is that most elite fighters get about late 30s they are well fed and no longer have the hunger and just looking for a paycheck while Joe is complete opposite and turns it up right before retirement and take these "so called" risky fights against shell legend and expect the boxing fans to give him credit like he is an atg? Jones was hungry in the olympics, he was hungry being a middle weight, super middle, light heavy and heavy but his long prime has been steady declining as well as his hunger. Bhop has kept a steady hunger but he got his paycheck late and have to battle his age when he finally got his due. Joe has enjoyed easy money against cans for years and avoided risk until now???? hell he is still avoiding risk!

It's always amusing to me when someone tries to act like they're up to their eyes in education, when they're obviously clueless

Just admit it, your boy ain't in Hopkins league until he proves it against great opposition.(you know, like law says innocent until proven guilty)

I think Hopkins would have won had they fought 6+ years ago.

Calzaghe didnt look very good even in his win. Hopkins lost solely on his low output which is attributed to him being 43 years old. Strategy wise he had everything there to beat Calzaghe. He did very well when he opened up and threw combinations, he just doesnt have the stamina anymore to do that enough.

Yes, the strategy of faking the low blow and buying valuable minutes to recover was pure genius I agree.

Forget 6 years ago, Hopkins would have won if they'd fought 2 years ago. Calzaghe looked awful in his so-called win, and would have looked a lot worse had Hopkins actually had any kind of stamina. I still maintain Hopkins won that fight and I don't give a **** who ridicules me for it, wild thrashing slaps that miss the target never used to win boxing matches when I was a boy, and they still shouldn't now.

Hopkins is a far greater fighter than Calslappy, no doubt about it.

Calzaghe landed **** all that fight and was dropped in the first round by a 43 year old. He won the fight based solely on a higher punch output. Hopkins should have retired a long time ago as he cant produce the output to win the rounds anymore. However he slipped Calzaghe's arm punches left and right with ease and landed the better shots. Had he been younger and able to keep that output he would have that fight in the bag easy.
