BHOP Picks Diaz over JMM & Mosely over Margarito

I've now come to the realization that no matter who Hopkins picked in the Diaz/JMM fight, he would be showing his true GBP colors.

Sad day when even a great like Hopkins is reduced to selling the company line on a fight between two fighters under the same banner.

Diaz is a Golden Boy fighter so it figures Hopkins is leaning that way. That said, so am I.

 

Same was said about DLH and Mosley when both picked Hopkins to beat Pavlik. :deal

People act like he runs it all through his head and comes up with the best scenario for GBP. There is nothing surprising about him picking Mosley over Margo. He is probably friends with Mosley, so obviously is going to support him. He also has a huge bias towards the typically more athletic black fighter. He would have said the same thing if Mosley wasn't with GBP.

Diaz over Marquez isn't that unreasonable a claim, he was asked for a winner and instead of sitting on the fence he picked someone. JMM was fighting an even fight with a pretty average version of Casamayor up until he finally succeeded in stopping him, Diaz pretty much shut Katsidis out who Casamayor had a huge struggle with. Styles make fights of course, but it isn't that unreasonable.

 

What reason did Hopkins give for his picks?

Hopkins said that if Margarito does not train hard for Mosely, takes Mosely win for granted and that Mosely could make no mistakes to beat Margarito, even then, by a very close split decision. Judges are almost always in favor of Mosely in the past.
