    Hes right about Dawson..

That guy don't have a lot of fans and doesn't draw numbers, outside of some, but it is really such a shame tho, cause he really is a good and exciting fighter.

Hopkins is an ATG and a great fighter , but that doesn't necessarily translate to high monetary value... his fights are mostly boring and not crowd pleasing, there is a reason why he doesn't create the huge paydays that other guys who are not as good do.

He should have fought Adamek and not worry about the $$

the man is right about fighting dawson and letting mayweather be retired. If this guys keeps fighting LHWs he is not going to give room to the rising stars to shine....

Yea Bernard Hopkins dont need Chad Dawson,he dont need anyone and doesnt need 2 fight anymore cuz hes proven over and over dats hes a True Great Legend, the person dat needs Chad Dawson the most is Joe Calzaghe, cuz hes a fraud,he hasnt beaten anybody,he retired right when he had the most 2 prove,he needs 2 stop running and making excuses and fight Chad Dawson,he should also fight the winner of Froch/Taylor and evrybody is gonna think im crazy 4 sayin dis but he should also fight Kelly Pavlik, yea I know "but kelly Pavlik got beat by B-hop,but evrybody needs 2 remember Joe also got beat by Bernard,Joe got beat dat night, and Hopkins got robbed dat night

I know. I don't like it. I thought he was a bit more obssessed with his legacy. I knew money was important but not for the sake of legacy. He could've really enhanced his legacy by beating Adamek. He shouldn't have low balled Adamek.

Bhop can do whatever the **** he wants, he doesnt have to prove himself to anyone.

Adamek should be DELIGHTED with the low-ball offer just to be in the ring with someone such as Bernard, and not some hypejob Dawson.

He straight up priced himself out of the Adamek fight, so what he said at the beginning is crap. Its either a strategy for later talks or his ego has really gotten out of proportion. In recent years, especially after beating Pavlik, Bhop has been over rated by many people. He does certain things very well but he's neither a complete fighter nor a crowd pleaser (inside the ring) and never really was. I guess every era needs its heroes.

That's BS. The low ball offer was not just low, it was an attempt at robbery. ($500,00 out of estimated $6 million pot). Adamek received the equivalent fighting the much lower profiled Banks. Also, a good chunk of the revenue will come straight out seat sales, where Adamek's fans will contribute significantly more than Hopkins'. Why should Adamek be swindled if he's the champ defending his belt, in a division he curruntly owns? Adamek isn't exactly desperate for a high profile fight either as he has many other high profile options (Dawson, Cunningham, maybe Haye) in front of him. Frankly, Adamek generates his own excitement and doesn't need some wrinkled ego maniac dictating terms for his career. This fight will not happen unless GBP shares at least 40%.

Good points and they all make sense. Really, 500K is a slap in the face to Adamek for the reasons you mentioned. And this showed that either 1) Hopkins is really delusional or 2) He never really wanted to fight Adamek.

If your right about this comment which I doubt its accurate , maybe the younger Hopkins wasn't as intelligent as he is now .
