Another middleweight. Why doesn't he fight a tomato can of his own weight class? :huh

Two birds with one stone. Works off the ring rust, and gets a good fight for one of the journeyman fighters under the GBP banner. I don't think there are any other LHW's signed to GBP.

Enrique is no jouneyman, he is not in hopkins class, but is a solid contender

Ornelas is a supper-middleweight who fought some at 160 but none at 175. Hopkins should choose someone from 175. But Ornelas won't just show up for the money, in fact he's a tough Mexican dude with some okay wins and 4 MDs or SDs in 5 losses with the other one being a TKO ahead on the cards. He's 15 years younger and very durable. About the quality of tune-up Hopkins can look good against and still put rounds in the bag, but then again, Hopkins should choose a 175 version of Ornelas, Badi Ajamu or the slightly higher caliber Chris Henry. Anyway, tune-up is a tune-up, just don't sell us if it's something else.

ornelas is one of my fav journeymen who's been ripped off many, many times.....i salute bhop for giving him a chance......but, ornelas is a goldenboy fighter, so i wonder if ornelas will show up to kick his bosses ass, or lay down....

I thought Rubio needed at least a knock down to win against Ornales. Just a day or two before the Hopkins news I read an interview where Enrique said he was far from done, and looking for a big fight. I'm happy to see him get a shot, but unless Hops gets really, really old over night . . . . well:think
