Bottom line.. Bernard doesn't fear Joe or his punching power and I think he is gonna try and bully him from start to finish. He's crafty, skilled and physical. Calzaghe is skilled but just doesn't throw or seem to have much power. That might be a problem against bernard. Taylor was able to back him up with a stiff jab and a power left hook that kept him honest. What does Calzaghe have that will keep him honest? and please don't say hand speed or throwing a lot of punches.

As old as Bernard is, he's still got plenty enough in the tank to beat Joe Calzaghe.

You guys don't realize, Calzaghe is VERY overrated. He won't even know what happened to him that night. Calzaghe's conditioning is nice, he throws a lot of punches, but throw punches when not in the right position and you get countered all night... and Bernard will use smart movement, keep Calzaghe on the wrong foot, cut is workrate that way and if Joe wan't to keep a hard pace he'll just get countered more easily.

This one would have been illegally easy for Nard 5 years ago. Now it'll just be easy.

Exactly....I have been saying that for a long time now. So don't go getting mad at me when I don't give Calzaghe credit for beating Prime Hopkins. Hopkins prime ended in the late 90's early 00's. He just adapted nicely. I don't rate him P4P....

    and skill

Maybe Bernard should have fought him back when he had the chance (and the choice)

no way no how will calzaghe stop hopkins and if calzaghe does win it will be an awkward spoiling fight .

thoise saying hopkins will win easy are wrong , thoise saying calzaghe will win easy are wrong.

you onkly have to analyse there styles to see this will be a hard gruelling fight for both,

I think Calzaghe is the favorite based on work rate and his age ..But by no means is this is an easy fight for either man ..

Not entirely true mate...I guess abit hinges on what he does after...a win propels him to any fight he wants...if he loses there are still big names...Kessler, Taylor, Bute....so it's not so bad
