Styles make fights, and Chad Dawson, though I rate him fairly highly, is mentally weak with average (at best) defense. Pascal beat him because he punked Chad Dawson off. If Pascal can ***** him out, Hopkins will really do a number on him.
Dawson came out strong late in which he even stunned Pascal badly i think in the 10th or 11th. If it wasn't for the clash of heads in which it went to the scorecard, Dawson would have won it by tko or ko. Hell even though Pascal was ahead, Dawson landed the cleaner shots on Pascal. You're right style makes fights in which is why Hopkins waited until Dawson lose so he can face Pascal.
Well that's all well and good, but Hopkins didn't want anything to do with Dawson for years, yet jumped at the chance to face Pascal. Dawson mentally weak? Perhaps. Is his style tailor-made for Hopkins? Don't count on it. Dawson has exceptional boxing skills, and throws crisp, fast accurate and a variety of punches. Compare this to guys Hopkins prefers i.e. Punchers who load up and tend to move and punch in a predicatable pattern.
I agree, I thought Dawson would beat him in the rematch before the fight and now :yep Pascal will get stopped
