People keep bashing Calzaghe's resume, maybe he did not fight guys with big names. However think about this, very carefully. Hopkins for most of his career apart from Tarver, whenever he fought someone his own size he lost. Jones, Taylor who was a 6'1 middleweight as well (twice) and Calzaghe. His 'famous' wins are over welterweights-light middleweights in De la Hoya,Trinidad and winky wright. Kessler and Lacy are more dangerous from that point of view but people keep forgetting that.

Calslappy is a fraud period, he hid behind the UNRECOGNIZED WBOGUS title for yrs, his two biggest wins are over a 43 yr old, which many thought he lost and over a shot to **** 40 yr old. He didn't have the balls to fight either in thier prime and despite being old as hell they both put him on his ass.

Pavlik and Tarver where Bhop's most impressive wins to me. The Taylor bouts could have gone either way.

You say Hopkins only beat smaller men right? So then let me ask you how much credit do you give Calzaghe for beating Hopkins who had himself moved up in weight?

their not hes best wins. And he couldnt have fought them that much earlier. I posted an article in 2002 when calzaghe said he wanted to face hopkins. Was that still too old for you?

Or nah face rjj 15 years ago:rofl

While I disagree with the OP, theres no way in hell Calzaghe lost that fight, first three rounds were B hops easy but when Calzaghe got into his rythm it was pretty clear who controlled the fight.

But isn't Calzaghe the naturally bigger man, spending most his career at 168 while B-Hop was at 160?

people have this weird notion that calzaghe ducked jones and Hopkins but the actual tuth is they ducked him, and thats a fact. Jones even admitted it himself opting to move up to heavyweight and Hopkins priced himself out of it. First he agreed then came back asking for more money. Yes Calzaghe should have went to the US sooner but he has too many haters on here

urbody forgets, Hopkins never wanted any of it, he was always threatened by Calzaghe. He lost a lot of my respect when he started feigning low blows and acting like a *****.

Only because hopkins was 'a middleweight' from hes vegetarianism and other things. As a 6,1 middleweight he looked pretty big out there compared

I think you'll find that Calzaghe moved up from Supermiddleweight to face Hopkins at Light Heavy.

No. Hopkins was always a huge middleweight who purposely kept his weight down.
