    Errm just no.

JMM is a better fighter than full blown 147 like Quintana etc.

Arguably natural LHW Sibson,Obell never gave Hagler the trouble little Duran and Leonard gave him.

Trinidad whooped the **** outta Joppy.

Elite fighters have better chance of beating you know matter how blown up they are than B class fighters who are natural at the weight.

I believe Marlon Starling beat Michael Nunn but did not get the decision.

I believe Montiel beat Jhonny Gonzalez.

Pacquiao has proven that elite fighters are better than some full fledged LW and LWW.

Yes I realize that the fight was at 170, but the size difference is not nearly as big as you make it out to be..

His resume is on the same level of Shane Mosley's, Antonio Tarver, and Glenn Johnson, Joe Calzaghe ...

Hopkins' resume is not better than
    Trinidad
    DLH
    Mayweather
    Pacquiao
    Whitaker
    Jones

Hopkins would not have beaten Collins, Eubank or Benn.

Lost to Jermaine Taylor twice ??
    Lost early in career.

Best wins over blown up welterweights and the ray leonard/hearns of the middleweights at the time (De La Hoya, Trinidad, Keith Holmes etc)

He didn't even win his vacant title at the first attempt! Shocking.

    Who exactly are the following??

Steve Frank, Joe Lipsey, Williams Bo James, Andrew Council, Simon Brown, Robert Allen, Carl Daniels, Robert Allen ???? A who's who of obscurity!!
    All title defences.

Then De La Hoya, who had lost to Sturm.

Then two losses to Jermain Taylor.

He drew is first world title fight.
    Fought nobodies for IBF fights.
    Lost to Taylor twice.
Hopkins lost to Calzaghe in his own country.

You cannot rate him above Calzghe at all.

Whos to say Calzaghe beats Kelly Pavlik? Underrated win for a 44 year old hopkins over 26 year old Undefeated middleweight champion.

Niether is/was Jeff Lacy, that why he was getting hammered against Eppy Mendoza and outpointed by the overrated Taylor recently.

how can you compare lacy after getting battered by calzaghe and more importantly- coming off a very serious shoulder injury...AND STILL lacy made it competitive vs taylor

Hopkins would of made Eubank look a complete fool, he would of white washed him.

Eubank's attacking Boxing was terrible. He reached with his punches and left himself wide open. Hopkins would of countered the **** out of him. Eubank should of lost to a journeyman Schommer, he even admitted himself he should of lost.

Because he never beat anybody decent before Calzaghe fight. He was not ruined by Calzaghe he was just never that good and overhyped.
