Ummm. Are you referring to the low blows that Calzaghe admitted throwing intentionally?

whoever asked whether hopkins would have got credit had he beaten calzaghe?
the answer is yes because naturally they are about the same size. Hopkins was a huge middleweight probably a natural super mdw or lthw and he was keeping his weight down at middleweight. Even with that size advantage he fought guys that weren't even middleweights. winky at 170 looked too fat because his frame cant support 170 lbs, De la hoya struggled with sturm because at that weight he was small coming from two divisions under middleweight and thats the same with trinidad. Even when he fought pavlick he outweighed him on the night by about 10 lbs. I have respect for hopkins, infact I'd like to see him school froch. However with that said his so-called resume is just as unspectacular as Roy Jones' and Calzaghe.

Put Calzaghe at 40 years old in with a peak Jermain Taylor, and the result would have been far clearer in Taylor's favour.

However, sitting around fantasizing about what they would have done to each other's opposition is utterly irrelevant anyway.

The point is that in reality Hopkins fought and beat better fighters consistently.

    It's a top resume.

I'm mellowing to ol' Hop and his achievements and performances having looked back. There was a realisiation for me this kind of guy isn't going to come along often. He was unfortunate the middleweight division left something to be desired otherwise he could find himself even further up the list.

This is a blatant Calzaghe hater. I aint got nothing against Hopkins, in fact I like the way he fights. Its boring to the average person but intriguing from a ring educational perspective because he is so efficeint. With that said people keep slating RJJ and Calz CV's but never mention how Hopkins CV is just as unspectacular.

I'm not sure if you have one, but where would you place Hop in your p4p 100 mate? Ballpark figure? Do you view him as higher or lower than Pacquiao and Mayweather?
