Him doing running? No chance, he wouldn't make it to the end of the road by looking at him. Probably just does some sparring and pad and speed bag work. If you watch his technique it's actually pretty good. If he were a few stones lighter then he'd be a very handy fighter IMO who could move past domestic level. He loves his sweets too much obviously though, those rolls of fat really damage his ability as a fighter.

Look at his traps and shoulders, or his chest:

There's very little muscle on him.

I got a feeling he does do runs mate just watching the way he fights his conditioning isn't what lets him down in fights. He's shown he can move well and box at a high intensity for heavyweights, I think he probably does a few runs a week. Couple miles each run and then does plenty of sparring and pads and bag as you say.

He probably doesn't do the right amount of circuit work.

Easy to forget he was ROBBED against Fury the first time, full on robbed. Good luck to the... very large fella!

You could clearly see Foreman's muscles under his excess far. McDermott doesn't have that same muscular definition anywhere on his body. Even muscles which grow easily, such as the traps, are nonexistent on McDermott.

Foreman on his comeback looked like this:

    or a bigger, better pic:

His shoulders, traps, arms, back and chest are ****ing huge. He was fat, yeah, but he was packed with muscle, unlike McDermott who has no size anywhere apart from his waist.

Yeah, anyone who takes less than a minute to kick the **** out of someone who calls himself 'war machine' deserves eternal respect:D

Definitely not his conditioning that lets him down. It was around the time when Fury started calling him McMuffin that the stories came out about him being able to fight at a better pace than middleweights in the gym.

Similar to Fury, his physique just gives a bad impression. Everyone claims Fury was fat and out of shape, but he has never been in a fight where his opponent has finished stronger.

I'd like to see big john pick up the british title, he shld really have won it at least once already and deserves to have it on his resumé.
He does have some decent ability, especially his jab which skeletor couldn't avoid. He's a big guy and probably always will be but i'm sure i've read that he's a hard trainer and his stamina is okay for a HW.
He doesn't work in a burger van, i think he's a stone mason...

Big John vs Audley for the british title would be a good fight.
