Looking forward to this fight. There's been a fair bit of coverage about it on here too, albeit mostly with people slagging off the fighters concerned. But if it drums up the interest then fair play I suppose.

    I'm hoping it's a war.

    As for my predictions...

I fancy Doddo on points. Mainly down to their respective performances against Quigley than anything else. But the way I see it, Dodson will be too busy for Smith. I can see Paul taking a few of the middle rounds, but Dodson to win on a fairly close decision.

If Smith fights the way he did against Quigley, then the decision could be wider.

That being said, I've read a fair bit from Smith saying that there was a clash of styles in the Quigley fight and that he may have let the occassion get to him a little bit. If Smith comes out aggresive then it could be a real war and I think Smith has got the better chin than Dodson, so could make for some interesting moments.

Hope it's a cracking scrap, undercard looks good too, so well worth the entrance fee.

But, having to make a prediction, I'm going Tony on points.

i cant see it being anything other than a war myself!

i also think that if dodson is gonna win, it will be on points, but if smigga is gonna win, it will have to be a KO imo :deal

im kinda having second thoughts on this one as i said smith by KO ever since the fight was announced, but im in two minds now and this one could go either way... but i said smith by KO so ill stick to it, for arguments sake :nut

how do ya think dodson will handle smith and vice versa? :think

Very hard fight to call both around the same level just depends what Dodson has left, my head says Smith just, but I want Dodson to win.

Smith by late stoppage. Dodson is shop worn I am afraid.

also delued. says things like "i was winning the first 2 rounds with Froch" and "i was beating Quigley until he knocked me down 4 times and stopped me"

I re-watched that fight yesterday to be honest, i though he done fine in the first round. Second round froch started to do what he wanted, and 3rd one sided. Not saying smigga is gonna do that to him, but he is fading, the only thing in his favour IMO is that he will go for broke knowing this is his last chance, and this will probably see him through to 6-8th. Smigga will still be in it at this point very much, but will win 9th, and stopp 10th or 11th.
I hope it goes this way, as i want my monies worth!

I think Dodson wins if he can keep away from big punches.

I cant see either fighter changing their style dramatically for the other. Both coming forward with Dodson being busier and throwing more shots, Smith looking to land the harder shots.

Big question mark I've got over my prediction is Tony's punch resistance and whether there's any left. He's been in some wars and was down a few times against Quigley so if he gets caught it could be a long (or short!!) night for him.

I just think that Smigga wont be active enough to pick up enough rounds to take a decision.

I've said since this was announced that I dont have a real preference as to who wins, I just want a barnstormer of a fight and I have to agree, given their styles I cant really see it going any other way.

Leaning towards Dodson on points, but it's a difficult one to call I think. Only result that would really, really surprise me would be if Dodson won by KO.

Really getting excited for this now though!

Yeah can't wait too mate, i think the styles will gel nicely.

If smigga picks up workrate even 10-15% extra, he will throw too much leather for dodson to handle. Size won't be too much of an issue to be honest. Extra height don't add inches to your dick at the end of the day.

As i have said before, dodson has himself convinced, as did quigley that he will be able to bully smith. If that is your main source of confidence to start off with, i think that is a little bit complacent.

All we have really heeard from smith really is that he is focused on the job, and not taking dodson for granted, and that he knows this will be his toughest fight yet.

All the BS from Tony saying he knew at the press conferance that Paul didn't want it, is bull ****.

This is a voluntary defence and not a mandatory, and dodson needs to remember that

i dont think it really means much to do well in the 1st round if you go on to get stopped in the 3rd.

and Froch can be a slow starter.

to be hoenst Smith didn't want the fight. Warren new he could make decent money from another local derby and thats why it is happening.

To be honest that was kind of the point i was making, by saying froch started to do what he wanted by the 2nd.

I dont think I mentioned size did I? Or are your comments aimed more at Tony than me? If it's the latter, apologies for reading it wrong.
