I hope it works out that easy for 'Big Daddy', but I have a feeling it won't be.

fighting a 45yo blimp who eats a burger in between each round is taking the tough route is it?

    amazing.

i hope lucas goes far in boxing, but seeing toney still boxing is far from a good thing.

I was comparing Browne's choice of opponents to someone in particular, but you seem to have failed to read between the lines.

You are also forgetting Richard Towers pulled out of his fight with Browne when it was signed, sealed and they had both been in training for it.

makes no difference which one is fighting toney.

You are still missing the point and also forgetting Towers was a very credible opponent, and it was no fault of Browne's the bout didn't take place.

i know what the point is, toney is not a good example of it imo.

butlin, rasani, gavin and takehara r not good examples either.

and no i haven't forgot at all about towers, and of course it was a good opponent at this stage.

there r better opponents that lucas could be facing, and fingers crossed he does.

Towers and Toney are better quality opponents than Calloway, Weida and Reed. Feel free to argue it if you like.

    argue?

when did i say eithers were better than the other?

    they r both poor.

its hardly reason to be boasting about anyway.

hopefully lucas does step up soon.

Towers is a quality opponent for Browne at this stage of his career. Contest it if you wish but it's a fact.

Toney is well past his best. But he's a huge name, and if Browne beat him, or better still became the first man to KO him, it would be a huge boost to his career. Free free to argue that too, but it's a fact.

    learn to read bud.

    i said towers was good.

u can sugar coat it however u wish. beating toney would boost him by being known as the guy who beat a washed up blimp of a shell of a former james toney. if u think thats good, then so be it.

I'm happy to agree to disagree regarding Toney. Hopefully they meet, Browne wins, and we get to find out what influence a win over Toney has on his career :good

If the Aussie promoters can get James Toney over here, if they had half a brain they should get him on TV...the guy could draw a decent crowd with his reputation & trash talk.

Plus crank that footage of Toney playing with Danny Green & making Green look silly.

Perhaps he'll come back with his gun like he threatened to last time? Lucky for Green he's safely at the other end of the Nullabour.
