I was backing Tim back when no one was a few years ago. I bet on him to beat Pacquiao (thought he lost a very close fight), and bet big on him to beat Marquez. People are going a little crazy over Tim right now because he just beat Marquez, but something that needs to be realized is Marquez was on his way out. He was very diminished and severely overrated p4p. Furthermore, it can't be ignored that while Tim showed immense heart and chin in the Provodnikov fight, Ruslan isn't the kind of guy he should go LITERALLY life and death with. Tim was able to box beautifully against Marquez from the outside, but my heart tells me he cannot resist slugging with Ruslan. It's not like Tim never slugged before that fight, he is a boxer brawler and will continue to get himself into those situations. While Tim is a fantastic all around fighter (he really can do it all), a pure slick boxer like Mayweather will outslick him, a speedster like Pac will outspeed him, and a slugger like Ruslan is going to outslug him. Again, big fan of Bradley (and before everyone jumped on the bandwagon), I just think he's a little too high p4p.
Truth is that Pac beat Bradley. Truth is that Provodnikov left Bradley on the canvas at the end of the fight and beat him.
I wouldn't say he is overrated....a lot of people have him anywhere from 3-7 p4p..split the difference and about top 5 sounds about right....would LOVE to see a pac rematch
I agree, he is a warrior. Like I said though, he felt like he had something to prove in that specific fight. Will he mix it up again, surely, but not like he did against Provodnikov in the first fight. If they fight again i'm sure we will see scuffles break out like we did during Bradley Vs. JMM, but I don't think Tim will try the Rocky tactics again.
Truth is as long as you have been posting, your comments on Bradley sure make you sound like a casual...:good
