Old Foreman is not prime Foreman. It was warranted for for the Foreman Cus spoke of.

Don't know about Old George, second time around.

But IMO, the Foreman of Frazier 1 and Norton would have blown Mike out.

    Early.

THey sparred together, theres a pic of them in the ring togeher, look it up.

Foremans is just talking **** here, plain and simple.

Powerful, yes but old and slow. Tyson had a problem with movers and guys who used angles like DOuglas and Holy, Foreman would just have been a punch bag (Old Foreman).

People need to stop with the Tyson ducked Foreman ****, its getting old.

    Tyson-Foreman didnt have happen because

    a) Foreman didnt sign the dotted line
    b) Tyson biggest opponent was Spinks around the same time Foreman started calling him out.
    c) After defeating Spinks, Tysons next big rival was Holyfield
    d) However DOuglas caused the upset and then went on to lose the titles to Holyfield, Tyson then went on the comeback trail and fought Ruddock twice around the same time Holyfield was fighting Foreman.

Holyfield -Tyson was about to happen but then came prison.

After being released from prison the plan was to unify the titles, Bruno, Seldon, Moorer, defeat Holyfield and then get the big showdown with Bowe or Lennox. None of that materialised after Holyfield beat Tyson and the rest is history. Tyson never ducked Foreman, Foreman just wasnt that high up on Team Tysons plans

Ive posted a thread on here regarding Bill Caytons hitlist for Tyson around 89-90, Foreman was on that list, AFTER Tyson got past Holyfield.

    Flip the script
how many of the best heavyweights did Foreman face
    Spinks
    Holmes
    Tyson
    Bowe
    Lewis
    ???

Foreman didn't do anything to establish himself as a viable contender to Tyson's title. There were active, ranked heavyweights for Tyson to fight at the time; George Foreman was just a novelty, a blast-from-the-past legendary heavyweight trading off his prior exploits and his newfound gift for self promotion. Take any no-name heavyweight and have him fight the same opponents that George did early in his comeback, and believe me, nobody would expect Tyson to fight him. But because Foreman was the former heavyweight champion with a colorful story and a big punch, all of a sudden he becomes a must-fight for Tyson.

Exactly what I was thinking - can't see Foreman as a fat old baldy pulling off a win over Tyson during that period - although on the plus side I think Moorer was underrated as far as his boxing skills were concerned and lets be a little bit fair - Holyfield and Smokin Bert didn't KO him like that - Holyfield may have stopped an out of shape and confidence affected version but he didn't put him out so diffinatively with one shot and Smokin Bert couldn't put him away either but yeah Tyson dumps old George or ref jumps in as soon as George starts tottering around

What's interesting to me is, even old Foreman still had an air of intimidation about him.
Especially in that video... you could see it in his eyes, and during the silences, he might put on an act but that animal in him is still there. Maybe it's just me though.

Tyson would have killed him around that period.

It never surprises me on how smart Big George is, very intelligent with his cute act and all. He marketed himself excellently and was a shrewd businessman...He knew a Tyson fight would generate much income and he had a punchers chance because Tyson came to him...he says he promises 2 rds he would stop Mike...that's part of his mind game but one thing for sure it would have to be a shootout...I don't think George fought a puncher like Tyson either...Lyle could not, Cooney had the hook but one hand and Williams never beat the type of guys Tyson did...I give big George a punchers shot, the older version knew how to pace himself but in Tyson he would be facing a 2-fisted banger

Young foreman would have had Tyson KO or fouling his way out or wetting himself...
Old Foreman would tried intimation but would be too slow and hitable..not great against Tyson.
Still would have been great to see - maybe Tyson would have felt the pressure intimation...who knows?

Foreman was never that good in his come back. The 2 elite guys he fought he lost to (Holyfield and ok he pulled out the KO against Moorer but he was getting schooled). Tyson wouldnt be coming in to dance, hed be coming in to take Foremans bald head off.

The 'Ruddock' version of Tyson might take longer to get Foreman out of there, but peak Tyson? (See Holmes)

You could say Holmes had a better chin than Foreman too.

Tysons chin is just as good as Holyfields, nobody ever Kod Tyson with one punch, so the Moorer strategy wouldnt work here. Tyson would outwork Foreman. Tyson only got frustrated with guys who ran and didnt want to fight. Tyson would have no problem with Foreman whatsoever.

Tyson 'ducking' Foreman, to fight Holyfield. Is the equivalent to today With Wlad 'ducking' Holyfield in order to fight Haye. Ludicrous.

Watch these fights and tell me old fat foreman is going to somehow KO Tyson.

foreman was a big tough strong fearless man - he had no quit in him - and would have probably given tyson a harder fight than most of tyson's challengers. even 1990 foreman was a better fighter than frank bruno. He could have caused Tyson a heap of trouble

Anyone who saw George caught by the volley of punches Holyfield hit him with should be glad that wasn't Tyson punching. It would have been interesting to see if George could catch Mike on the chin with one of his left uppercuts or right hands, but likely Foreman would be put down hard and hurt. Azzer, Spinks really never belonged in the group you have him with, and is there any doubt what George could have done with him?

Tyson would have destroyed the comeback Foreman ... way too fast ... If Georger fought him his entire comeback legacy would have changed as he would have been KO'ed and the image of his 42 year old body on the floor would cause all to cringe ... the warm glow we now have would have been replaced with discomfort .... George is very , very lucky the fight was never ... and he made a ton anyway ..

Foreman left SOnny Liston off his list ... interesting ...
