Big George Foreman vs Francois Botha.

Discussion in 'Classic Boxing Forum' started by WelcomePaladin2, Nov 7, 2015.

  1. Prime Foreman vs Botha towards the end of his career.

Who wins in this mystical match up?

I see Botha ducking & weaving, using enou work rate to squeeze a tight UD or SD in a 12 round slugfest.

    Thoughts?

Please. Stop these threads right now. Foreman would pummel Botha at any stage of either of their careers.

  3. I don't think so. After a few hours of calculating, I still believe Botha could sneak a SD.

My god. Foreman an ATG hwt champion knocks senseless the nobody that is Botha. It's a no contest fight.

  5. True but styles make fights buddy

Botha has the bobbing & weaving akin to a young Mike Tyson. This could cause the slow, monstrous Big George problems. U must know this.

No I don't. A bobbing and weaving fighter does not last long vs prime Foreman. It's a no contest fight.

And prime George was not slow. Ali stated he was surprised how quick Foreman was in their bout in 74.

Young Foreman would have dealt with Botha like he did Scott Ledoux.....and I know that Botha was better than LeDoux...doesn't matter.
Old Foreman outstrengths and mauls his way to an ugly decision with an accumulation kd to make the difference.

I like South African fighters, but clearly you don't, because you want to get Botha killed.

I never saw Old Botha "bobbing and weaving" btw.

    Troll post?

I think Botha would use his trademark bob and weave, underrated sneakiness and off the chart workrate to upset Big George.

Botha uses rope-a-dope to wear down and stop Foreman.

Modern nutrition, ATG mustache and peroxide hair KO 5 George Foreman.

  12. Well said. I agree.

It's not too bad, as I assume op means GF mk2. However I still can't see FB winning.
