Then you're not referring to chin. Chin is punch resistance. Getting dropped by a featherfisted fighter means your punch resistance isn't very good although George was gassed i guess. But he had good recovery
Foreman wasn't dumb (and he wasn't a romantic like many of our posters here seem to be)....he knew to avoid tall, rangy boxers with a good left jab. Its obvious why - if he's being outjabbed then he can't control the fight's pace. You can hear him talking about in his view the dangers of such fighters in broadcasts as a colour commentator..and his own matchmaking supplies actions to these words. Fast hands, great cardio, hard puncher, s/paw, big left hooker - all of that was no worries....but a great jab that could challenge his own - Foreman had no truck with that. From memory he only had to fight another boxer who fought tall and jabbed the once (Williams) as he had no choice to obtain a top 10 ranking for a title shot and he might not have won that fight. Given that....Lewis by late TKO after busting up George face or stoppage if George really falls to pieces.
A And fought till His mid 40s His Chin was Granite....Like I said anyone Fighting these days can get dropped off Balance or just not ready but 1 TKO in over 70 Fights and fighting in His mid 40s in my mind proves you disagree and I respect your opinion.!!!i
Likely because he put on 30-40 pounds. Cooney nor Shannon Briggs or Holyfield could put a dent in the guy but Lyle pushes Foreman to his limit ? I honestly think his chin was better in the 90s because of the extra weight
I brought up jim and lennox was way more skilled then him and the crazy people still act blind and say George was super tough a tough man wouldnt be all over the place by ron why is it hard for people to stop using quotes George was hurt from the first strong right in the 1st round and hurt bad mutiple rounds after not tough at all
Always frustrates me when people use old George or Pre-Steward Lewis to argue their points. It's prime for prime. Best night vs Best night. Lewis wins for me. Beats Foreman on everything but power and that's not much of a gap.
from matches I seen Lennox hit harder George never could put a person in danger from a short amount of punches and never could drop them with less punches then George did the man hit power is overrated real bad
the man was stun from shots from ali and jim both was sharp type punchers but it is no way George should have been stunned by those type punches if he was so called so tough for taking damage he was tough but not as much as they like to pretend he was
