Steve Bunce's sucking up to big John Fury is a bit unbearable. At least Haye pretty much just gives his opinion, as you'd expect from a world champion boxer, but you can tell Bunce feels he needs to suck up to big John.
I previously would have enjoyed this as legit seen John as a crazy man that would go at anyone with no fear. Since the Mickey Theo incident I feel he's been exposed a bit, as more bark than bite and now my opinion is he should give more respect to David Haye because Haye would rip him apart
What’s the point in having Fury’s dad involved in a debate about heavyweight boxing. As soon as someone offers their opinion that isn’t pro-Fury he starts offering bets out and getting quite abrasive. I know he’s his dad but the man is an idiot.
Basically because it creates viral clips. They'll all be in on it too. John will be 'encouraged' to be abrasive.
Just look at the thumbnail for the video. It's all kinds of crazy. Miraculously they've managed to make Bunce look the calmest man in the picture. Imagine having to explain to someone who has never seen Boxing before wtf this is.
Loved Hayes ‘Mr Invincible’ line. Got John nibbling straight on the end of his rod with that one. Big John 100% still holds a grudge for David pulling out twice vs Tyson.
There must still be a bit of bad feeling from the Fury camp towards Haye to be fair. Tyson and his team found out on Sky Sports News about Haye pulling out the second time, they didn't even get the courtesy of a phone call from Booth or somebody from HayeMaker. It was so close to the actual date that Fury lost tens of thousands on training expenses too, back in the day when that sort of money was massive to him. As for John Fury dominating the debates they invite him to, that's exactly the reason why he's there! I find it absolutely brilliant, entertaining and funny. Too many of these shows have fence sitting nonsense spouted, too scared to upset anybody. Can you imagine if they replaced Tyson's dad with somebody like Spencer Oliver? Exactly.
Was glad to see Joe Calzaghe doing punditry work on the TV. I think its criminal the way our broadcasters have ignored giving him a chance as a pundit.
