Thing is, Shaw and McLean weren’t exactly angels either, especially when it came to their books. There’s just as much fiction and inflation in those “hard man” autobiographies as there’ll be in Big John’s.

Lenny basically had to rush his out because he had cancer and needed the money. Shaw’s is even funnier – McLean must’ve hit him so hard in that third fight that Roy forgot it ever happened, because there’s a whole chapter about him chasing a third bout and Lenny “swerving” it, like it never took place. Must’ve all used the same ghostwriter. Best genuine take on Lenny arguably comes from Warren.

Interesting article. He's spot on about a lot of things and I also agree with him on Sugar Hill or whatever he's called/

He makes a good point about Tyson's legs not been there anymore. They haven't been since the 2nd Wilder fight.

What? Was agreeing till you embarrassed yourself with Tyson. He has fought just about everyone in his generation as they came. Wlad, Usyk, Wilder, Whyte, Chisora, etc. point was taken till you went oddly off rails.
