I think Big John uses his lightning reflexes and flexibility to neutralise Marciano throughout the early & middle rounds. In the 10th, Big John lands a check jab which knocks the previously undefeated Marciano to the ground. He tries to get up but the ref calls a controversial stoppage Thoughts?
I tend to disagree. Marciano was a slow podder. Nelsons reflexes are frightening. Marcianos worst nightmare. I reckon Nelson could beat Marciano & possibly Holyfield in the same weekend just on his reflexes alone. Astonishing.
I wouldn't say he was glass jawed, but his chin wasn't the best.... Certainly not good enough to take Marcianos bombs.
Would be at cruiser weight Nelson would do well early but would be ground down by the rock don't think Nelson could hold him off .late stoppage
