South Wales Evening Post sports article (fri may 30th).

It seems from this information that Enzo Maccarenelli will return to the ring on July 12th. His first fight since the devestating loss to David Haye. Opponnet yet to be named. Enzo stated he wanted to go straight back to winning his WBO World Title he lost to Haye.

"I am at the stage in my career where I need to be the best and be a champion"

But how will Enzo comeback will he be a better fighter or will that crushing early loss left his mark on him - more psycoligcally than physically.

And is once again going down the WBO route the right move?

Why not target the other titles like WBC WBA IBF.

it seems no one is intrested in the future of big mac Enzo. no-one has responded to this thread which is dissapointing - what has Enzo got to do to win the publics imagination about his future as the worlds best crruiserweight?

Why not target the WBC, WBA or IBF you say?

Because he's not good enough to win any legit titles and therefore will get Frank Warren to persuade the WBO to give him a shot at the vacant title against somebody barely ranked in the top 30.

2 comments here on Enzo - both negative.

What is Enzo's public perception now after the haye fight?

Enzo wants to eventually move up to heavyweight so he will be putting weight on not off

I like Enzo, He's a decent fighter who got beaten by an elite fighter. I think Enzo will still be a force in the cruiser weight division.

He has big boobies is my perception. Get some muscles, not fat. They jiggle when he moves.

yes I thinkl everyone would agree - Enzo is at least decent.

But the big question is can he be the very best at Cruiserweight as he desires to be and considers himself to be?

I've never rated Enzo, not before or after the Haye fight. The Haye fight just goes to show though why he can't compete at the top level, I know Haye's the best cruiserweight out there but if he KO's Enzo in 2 then a fair few fighters have got a chance of KO'ing him in later rounds.

theres only one problem with what you say - this is not me specualting this is what i have actually read in the paper yesterday:

bascially Enzo said he wants to get straight back in line for a shot at the WBO WOrld title - because he misses being a world champion and wants that WBO status back immedialetly.

the other belts and champions were not mentioned

and also he got pulled out of fighting in Atlantic City on the Pavlik-Lockett undercard cos they just couldnt get him a fight

but it is now likely - vacant WBO fight- probaly Cardiff - sound familar i know

July 12th isn't that the same date as the rumoured Peter vs Skelton/Harrison fight? It's been around 2 weeks since Frank opened his gob and still nothing have been offically announced.

Enzo from the comments he made also considers his loss to Haye as just a lucky punch kind of thing rather than Haye being any superior. He said he just got caught that was it - it could have easily been the other way round.
