Yeah im sure does , Cro Cop is finished , Big Nog cant be far behind him , i was certain the UFC were gonna make Mir Nog 2 , they still might if he beats Nelson . They gotta be careful with Minotauro because if they feed him a monster like Carwin it could be a blow out and he is still very marketable and popular , a bit like the situation they have with Penn and Mir , they have to match him well while still being competetive , Kongo wouldnt be the worst fight in the world for Big Nog
These 2 guys fighting now would IMO be an embarrasment. I usually love these legend fights even with the guys a bit behind there primes but in the case of both of these guys they are on the verge of being hurt. Just take for example what these 2 former greats have been through since the start of there runs in the UFC. Nog has been dropped by Sylvia and Herring, KOed by Mir and Velasquez and went through a war with Randy Couture. While CroCop has been brutally KOed by Mir, Schaub and Gonzaga and took a beating vs Junior Dos Santos. These guys just simply have way too much wear and tear on the there bodies. Nog should get one more fight but CC should retire for sure.
this will be watching 2 dinosaurs fight. milk it to death I guess. You gotta make as much money before you retire. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7T_MOrnS_UU[/ame]
There's no way in hell Dana ever makes this. Both these guys are fossils now. They're so old their spitting dust.
Nogueira fought 5 times in 2006, going 5-1 including victories over Werdum and Barnett. Nogueira has only fought 5 times since 2006. Plagued by injuries, it looks as though Nogueira's body isn't allowing him to get into good enough condition to fight at the top level. Nog has only lost twice since 2006, but he has only looked good once. I think Nogueira could be dangerous against anyone in the world a year or so ago, provided he was in proper condition. The Nogueira that faced Couture not only looked better than any post 2006 version, but was sharper, and not laboring on his feet. The Nogueira that faced Velasquez may, or may not, have been as good. Nogueira got tagged with several hard shots, and was ko'd by a devastating combo in the 1st round. It did not last long enough for us to see, and he has been inactive since. Generally, a fighter's best years is currently looking to be between the ages of 26-32, according to my opinion for what ever that is worth(Priceless to me, but open to individual appraisal). Nogueira is turning 35 this year, is coming off a knee surgery, and has a history of hip problems. I hope he does not face Cro Cop, but I do think he deserves a tune-up if he continues.
