I just had a look at www.bet365.com and Wayne Braithwaite is 4/1 to beat Enzo Maccarinelli tonight. That seems pretty good odds to me considering Enzo has never fought anywhere near this level before and has been in trouble against lesser fighters.

Can't really see this going the full 12 either so you could eek out the 6/1 by KO, TKO bet.

Great fight though, should be fun while it lasts!

Who ever catches the other first will win. Both are huge punches with shaky chins. I hope Enzo wins but I am still of the opinion that Braithwaite has that bit more skill and experience. It looks like a good bet if you put a decent amount on it.

I seriously doubt Enzo's skills and his level of competition thus far.

I would not be surprised if Braithwaite got a decision win.

how can this be?? enzo is the guy who, although limited, is on the way up.

    braithwait is damaged goods.

i would make enzo a 3-1 favorite........not 4-1 underdog. good odds to bet on.

Braithewaite is the favorite and rightly so. He's been in there with the better competition and he's won on the road before. He went to Italy and beat Canatatore under very hostile conditions. If he has anything left in the tank it should be enough to beat Enzo.

On the other hand, if Enzo were to win this fight the division would have to take notice.

They must be making the odds based on that glass-chin of Maccarinelli!

Look for Enzo to hit the canvas early....and often! :nod

Not too sure about that. He's been wobbled before and Braithwaite's certainly capable of hurting him, but I can't see him getting dropped repeatedly early on. I think a KO either way is likely at some point, but I'd put more on Enzo stopping him early and Bratihwaite stopping him in the mid to late rounds. 4-1 for any kind of stoppage sounds pretty decent to me.

My thoughts are excactly, I never took too much notice of the press surrounding the "hardest puncher in boxing!" :patsch but if he wins impressiveley tonight he has proven himself to be REAL WORLD CLASS. Problme is if he wins tonight, he'll go back to fighting the Bobby Gunns of the world straight after...its the Warren way.

I think you are misunderstanding the UK odds

4-1 for Braithwaite is suggesting Enzo is the favourite by a long way

It's rare to see such odds in a two man fight of reasonably competitive nature

Enzo is the favorite. It's worth putting some $$ on Braithwaite, I think.

    Enzo is the heavy favorite..

Braithwaite is however a good underdog bet.. shrewd money goes on Wayne.

Braithwaite has a very good chin, the stoppage against Guillermo Jones was on his feet and he took Mormeck's best, only going down once.

Guillermo Jones is a highly avoided, hard hitting awkward fighter who has a guy like Braithwaite's number, he landed something like 25 massive right hands in round 1 and Braithwaite survived.

I'd suspect 1 or 2 from Jones would do in Macaroni.

I have a little on Wayne myself, 4/1 is too good to pass up.

The only way I see Wayne losing is if he's totally shot, which could very well be the reason why Warren selected Wayne. BUT, Enzo is not an impressive fighter at all and a shot Braithwaite is still quite a step up.
