Big possible Fights in 08 i reckon will happen after tonights events .

Mayweather v Cotto ( then he can finally retire having beat everyone )

Hatton v Mosley / Cotto ( big money fight in this, probably fight cotto if mayweather actually goes through with retirement )

Calzaghe v Hopkins ( cant wait for this one ..pretty sure it will happen )

Mundine v Green 2 ( if green beats drews ..u can pretty much guarantee this one to happen ..for the WBA Light-Heavyweight title ..Mundine wants to reign in multiple diviisons and green wants revenge )


Breakout Stars of 08

* Katsidis - Im currently in USA and everyone cant stop asking me about Micky . They love his style showed some fans the fight against Earl on Youtube ..they went nuts . They also like to see more of Mundine and Green and they all love Briggsy . They actually no a bit about the Aussie's ...Bika , Lovemore etc.

* Amir Khan - Will head to US ..prob get a title shot soon ..big fights looming for him . Destroyed Earl in 1 round earlier today in the Uk ..prob feature on a Calzaghe / Hopkins undercard somewhere .

* Billy Dib - will get a title shot ...seen alot of this kid ..trained alongside him when he was about 12 ..watched alot of his early fights ...I actually no his first trainer and we both agree he needs to just keep his hands up and develop his power and he will be World Champion .

* Paul Briggs - Hope he wins a World title . Hope things eventuate with Woods or maybe Green possibly . I know im biased here but ..no one deserves another crack at title more than Paul .

* Jadon Codrington - impressed me in Contender only young with alot to learn ..will kick on ala Manfredo with the Contender Team promoting him .

I think Williams needs inclusion on any "must fight (name your top tier fighter)" list.

Mosley, PBF or Cotto... he has it all imo - not that he'd beat them all, but I want to know where he stands up in the mix of things.

 

Don't forget Haye, Dawson, and i'm also hoping big things happen for Valero :good

great matchups for next year, after today i think floyd will beat anyone(from boxer to brawler, what an amazing talent). if he beats cotto theres nobody else?
Im not sure if paul briggs has anything left to offer, hopefully a fight with woods, (if he wins) a fight with green for a unification or just any fight would be a ripper. Green fighting mundine next year at 175 would be a waste of time, im a diehard green fan, but the only thing he would get is money? mundine would wipe the floor with him.

Green v Mundine at 175lbs is a different fight entirely, and one I'd certainly be interested in. Greeny needs to capture that title first though.
