I like Arthur Abraham, have been a big fan since his battles with Edison Miranda (even though I was rooting for Miranda in those match-ups).

I've never been a huge fan, however, of Andre Dirrell. I was happy when he lost to Carl Froch.

All of that aside, Andre Dirrell deserves big props for his performance last night against Abraham. Dirrell dominated Abraham for the majority of the bout and deserved the win, regardless of whatever your feelings are about the bizarre ending to the bout.

Dirrell's victory over Abraham looked a lot like Andre Ward's win over Mikkel Kessler: Slick and fast American boxer schools his European counterpart. The two bouts weren't mirror images, to be sure, but some similarities were there.

Dirrell learned from his fight with Froch and it is good to see such a talented fighter begin to refine his game and head up the ladder.

    Big props.

I'm a AA fan too although not so much for his boxing but his personality. He's a cool mother****a but what he did last night was just ****ed up. ****ed up. You gotta feel sorry for Dirrell. He was untested and yet schooled Froch in his backyard but got robbed of the decision. He was a little naive to think he'd get the decision and he left it too late before he really stepped up and showed his class but the potential was there for all to see. I haven't seen the AA fight yet, just the DQ moment, but it sounds like Dirrell learnt his lesson. A win over AA is very good but he gets knocked out, how will this affect him? I hope he's okay.

People criticize the man for running. It's called boxing. My favourite fighter is Pac and I also prefer the all action style but you gotta appreciate what guys like Dirrell do. They make it look smooth and sweet and it's good to have different styles like that. That's what makes this sport fascinating. You keyboard warriors are always quick to call people bitches and pussys but you're not the ones stepping into that ring.

As for Arthur Abraham, I'm still a fan, I believe he just got a bit excited when he saw Dirrell on the floor but that was dissapointing:-(

Dirrell definitely learned his lesson from the Froch fight.

He was starting to wilt a little bit in this bout, but he held it together and did what he had to do and was in control for the vast majority of the bout. He even took some good shots from Abraham and kept going.
