He's NOT a Floyd supporter but was willing to step up and say Cotto is reluctant to call Floyd out. What's so hard about simply saying I want Mayweather next? He keeps saying if Mayweather wants it we can do it, but he's NOT imposing and pressing it, his delousional fans are, not Cotto himself. Bob Arum NEVER even made Floyd an offer. Cotto once said he'd like to fight Oscar but NEVER stepped up and said i'd like to fight Floyd Mayweather. Arum and Cotto know that bull**** 0 Cotto has will vanish if Cotto got anywear near Floyd. People make it sound like Floyd is ducking Cotto for whatever reason and Arum hasn't even made a single offer. This fight not happening is NOT about Floyd avoiding Cotto, or just Cotto's inability to make big numbers, but more about Arum and Mayweather NOT getting along. They CAN'T get along, they CAN'T do business. How is that Mayweather's fault?:huh

I see what you are saying, but i'd have to disagree b/c cotto has never been known for calling opponents out. he is very consistent in that aspect. i can understand if all his career he's been calling people out, and now all of sudden he has stopped. but that is simply not the case. it's just not his perosnality.

Cotto called him out in the press conference prior to the Gomez fight.

Cotto is not tyson, or mayweather, or hopkins. Not his style to call out loud.

On the other hand, no offer from arum clearly shows that cotto is still hesistant to fight mayweather. I still see them fighting in 09.

It's true. Cotto needs to be more adamant about this fight happening.

Pull a Hatton. Make fun of Mayweather during an interview. That sure got the Mayweather/Hatton fight signed quickly :hey

Ok there's some truth there, I won't argue that. But as far Floyd ducking Cotto I don't agree with. Let's say Floyd was interested in taking the fight, it still WON'T go down cause Arum and Mayweather don't get along. Floyd is not at a point right now where he should be looking for Arum and Cotto, but in all honesty them looking for him. Why hasn't Arum thrown numbers at Floyd?

Didn't Cotto respond that he can't force Mayweather to fight him??

Ive said it all along. Arum is going to try and circumvent Floyd altogether when it comes to Cotto. Fight Mayoraga, then Margo and pick up another belt that should be floyds.

I believe Cotto when he says that he would fight Floyd, I dont for one second think that he is scared to fight Floyd.......Now with that being said, I dont think that he is all that excited about fighting Floyd either. If he was he could say that its the fight that he wants and that wouldnt be calling Floyd out.

i feel what you are saying. but i believe that's what people like most about Cotto. we respect his class outside of the ring. he let's his fights do the talking. eventually, mayweather will have no choice but to fight him.

all the floyd fans say that cotto must practically clean out the division to "deserve/earn' a shot at floyd. i'm guessing that is what we will go ahead and do.

i'm sure that all cotto fans, including myself would love to see the fight with mayweather more than anything else in the world, but not at the expense that Cotto changes who he is.

let him continue to do what he does best. that is---to crack heads.

He said that IF Floyd wanted to fight he would be willing to fight, im not scared of anyone. Which I will admitt sounds alittle funny. I know that the Floyd haters wouldnt see it that way. But as a competitor you always want to fight the very best...It seems that Cotto is content with fighting almost the best..

Time will tell, hopefully Cotto doesnt slip up in his next two fights. Mayorga is always dangerous, and Margo will be a tough go.

yeah, i'm not a big fan of saying that a fighter is "ducking" another fighter b/c i know (or at least like to assume) that floyd, nor any other fighter, are afraid of another. if that was the case, he would not have gotten this far. however, i just dont agree with his reasoning for not fighting cotto now.

but i know and UNWILLINGLY accept the fact that we all must wait for possibly one of the greatest fights in boxing history.

when the fight does happen, it will be as big or bigger than leonard/duran, leonard/hearns, leonard/hagler, oscar/tito, oscar/floyd, tyson/holyfield/lewis, or chavez/taylor.
