To be clear, I think Mercer just took a knee to make it stop, I don't think that was actually a knockdown (even though it counts under the rules).

I wouldn’t say Holyfield or McCallum were big punchers.

Only Hearns was a big puncher out of these names.

Nah. All these guys could crack & had a lot of power. Cuevas was the hardest hitting WW (more than Hearns).

    Michael Carbajal vs Jorge Arce

Arce did have more ko ratio than Carbajal, plus he was the younger man,but all differences were gone in one punch.

Strange no mention of “The King Of Brawlers” lol making an appearance… he really neutralised Lyle as his title would suggest right???

Your comment is one of the funniest Ive read this year yet

Id like to add Hagler vs Hearns and Mugabi and Sanchez vs Gomez.

Haye V Maccraneli - Macca could punch but Haye picked his moment and bombed him out of there. (Haye was the big puncher, but Enzo was no mug)

Benn V Gman - don't think anyone needs that explaining

    Hagler and Hearns absolutely

Wlad V Sam Peter - Peter was strong as an Ox but didn't really have the technique to put it together, bar the odd highlight real. But he was certainly a heavy hitter (Wlad stopped peter 2nd time around).

Hatton V Kosta - Hatton could crack, although he was more known as a pressure fighter, he had a few 1-punch KO's managed to walk through Kosta's power and force the corner stoppage.

Tell that to Donald Curry. And, he did have a 75% knockout average. McCallum could punch.

Cuevas was a huge puncher. Bases on raw power, arguably the biggest punching WW of all time.

Perfect (PER-FECT) left hook, against a welterweight coming up.
