Never backed down in fights, always made a good account of himself, makes the elite fighters look bad and uncomfortable at times, and has a warriors heart. Sure his style may not be so pleasing to watch but he he was a crowd pleaser. Beat some good opponents and only lost to the very best fighters. I think he’s had a good career. I just wish his dad didn’t stop it too early and just let him go out on his shield.

Respect to Showtime. If he really does retire from the sport then boxing will surely miss him. I hope he’s well secured post-retirement.

Porter will be missed for sure. not many in the game with his mentality and likeable out of the ring.
I just just wish it had finished a different way. I live in the UK so US fights can be anything from 3-5am which means staying up and to be honest I was a little suprised that it ended like it did especially in hindsight understanding that it would be his last fight.
I think he deserved better than that but I'm happy he made it out intact.

I just wish he would have left Kenny earlier and gone with a coach who would train him in th peek a boo style.

Understand that one mate. I remember going to my brothers to watch the first Tyson v Hollyfield as he had Sky and he got some fancy cider which we tucked into fell asleep about 2am. woke up half way through fight with hang over tried waking my brother but he was dead to the world. must have fallen asleep at least 10 times over the years. It's just a bad time 4-5am as I'm not one for going to bed that early and then I just try and stay up. If I throw any drink on top then I just end up falling asleep.

Move to America!!! Sure you may get shot to death, go bankrupt if you get a severe illness and live pay check to pay check because everything is so expensive, but hey, you will never fall asleep during a big fight again. LOL

I feel for you. It's not looking to clever this side of the pond either. The west is being undermined from within. The Chinese must be pissing themselves watching on as our cultures get burnt to the ground. Thet can't silence everyone.

Had a fairly similar style and career to Frazier. Only lost to the best, always showed up in good shape with the determination of a pit bull. Never had a boring fight. He will be missed.

Instead of punching the canvas repeatedly he should have gotten up and convinced his father he was OK to continue.
