Just heard the news it is switching to Thurs nights permanently. Good or bad in you opinion? Will promoters suffer? Has Foxtel offered promoters some more incentive? I like the change for selfish purposes. Less going on Thursdays so I will happen to see more cards as they screen live. What are your thoughts?

Who is going to go and have a night on a Thursday. It will be very bad for the promoters, I enjoy Friday night fights and going to watch the action with my mates. Oh well it looks like we will be watching it from home now.
Good points. If Fox is paying a higher fee that would at least make up some difference for promoters. Must be tough bringing in a regular following on a Thursday night. Everyone needs to show up for work the next morn!
This is a **** thing. Very hard for boxers/promoters to ask their supporters to stump up table money and generals on a Thursday night when people have to front up to work the next day! Obviously a big factor in any fighter being put on a show is a.) they can really fight, but b.) how many tables and generals they can sell. Thursday night is ****ED - Big time!!! Fox are only doing this to not compete with the Rugby League and AFL respectively. Yet moving to Thursday nights, they go up against the top rating Footy Shows for both codes. Did I say this move was ****ED!!! Sorry, forgot - ****ED - Big time!!!!
Thursday would be ****. Coming home after work on a friday and pouching **** while watching the boxing is the best thing ever. Hope they find out quickly that it won't work.
Not in favour of Thursday nights at all. I doubt FOX will be putting more money up for these cards...making it so much more difficult for the promoters as everyone has stated people wont be staying out to real late knowing they have to front up to work the following morning. Spoke to a couple high profile promoters on this & both strongly disagreed.
If you are going to have it on a Thursday night why niot just move it to Sunday nights................. No sport played Sunday nights to compete against.
