If you where a trainer and was in charge of a group of boxers, what would you do if this would happen to you? 1. Some older trainer tries to take over and run the show even if he has his own group. 2. You put up your own groups trainingprogram but still mr old guy wants to try to change it cause it´s not like he did it in the 60´s 3. Mr old guy asks you to help him a little with his group and you really do that but let him run how he want´s it cause it´s his group, then suddenly he take in someone else to help him that he knew from before. (I don´t mind this cause it gives me more time to work on my own group.) But I think it is a bad way doing it without even telling me. 4. Mr old guy complain to you about another trainer at the gym that he does it all wrong. 5. Mr old guy want´s my group and the other trainers group to train together sfter his program and if that won´t happen he´s being angry. I and the other trainer has different ways of trainingschedules, even different round lenght´s. My group have done well and even reached the national team, so the things we are doing works. How would you deal with a problem like this? Stay in there or leave the place and open your own. I´m so tired of this. Look forward to your ideas and thought´s All the best The Predator
if you get results from what you do then let it be known. if he has a problem with how your running YOUR group then thats HIS problem. everyone is different and should be treated and handled accordingly.
Thanks for your advices my friends. I have tried to talk to him and he says that he won´t interfer, but still continues to do it. I´m sick and tired of it! He wants everyone to do everything together as long as it is his way. This is not my way of doing it. I think you have to listen to others but if you are in charge of a group in the end you decide how it should be done for that particular group. If it don´t gives result then you can change the trainer but if it gives result then you should not interfer. I´m very grateful for your advices and it helps me to make a decision. Mr. Old guy needs to be told to cut the ****. He is breaking one of the cardinal rules of boxing. You don't **** with another trainers fighters. It does nothing but hurt the fighter, because if he is being told two different things from two different trainers he will only get confused and get himself hurt in the ring. If I was the other trainer I would tell Mr. Old Guy just what I posted, not nastily, but in a calm and educating matter. I would certainly tell him of the results you have produced as a trainer and the success your boxers have had. This should shut him up because it is hard to agrue against success and what has proved to be a winning formula. But if he doesn't listen and I happen to run the gym as well, he is gone. If you don't run the gym talk to the guy who does. He knows you are a good trainer because he sees the results you have gotten, so he could put a stop to it.
Tommy the hat. I have to thank you for what you said, This is my opinion as well. I just wish I was the one who owned the gym, but I will try to stand up to him and I have to do it for my fighters. Thanks once again. All the best the predator
I would say just be staight foward with the guy, not accusing or out of line. And try and communucate what is going on, see if he can compromise. And tell him you need him to respect your schedule, and yo'll respect his. If he ignores you point out, and make him aware of it so he know's what's going on.
tommy the hat has great advice i would go with his approach, first reason with the old guy, if he doesnt change, tell your boxers to ignore him, then go speak to the gym owner about this, work out a strategy to get him out, end of the day your boxers will suffer the consequences, youve got a winning formula and this guy has what? nothing... if the gym owner is smart he will side with you...
Start interfering with his boxers... then when he complains, let him know that you're only copying what he is doing... maybe then, it'll sink in...
Firstly I am not, nor ever have been a trainer so take this with a pinch of salt... But bear in mind why you are there? To get the best out of your boxers. If your methods are working then point out to the old fella that your boxers are doing just fine on your plan. If that doesnt work, humour him and do your own thing anyway. Tends to work with some old time bosses where I've worked in the past!
Thanks for all advices my friends. I tried some of them, however not the swift left hook, he doesn´t get it so far, but I give it this year otherwise I have to leave and I´ll take my fighters with me, then I gonna try that swift left hook, that´s for sure. All the best The Predator
