Rigo doesn't have the resume. He laid another egg against Casimero instead of taking out the trash. He really should retire if he won't get back with Pedro Diaz. He looks like absolute **** since Shields has been training him.

Rigondeaux could have been something truly exceptional.

Rigo had his name down at Del Boca Vista Stage 4 before he even turned pro.

He has done pretty good considering his age and the fact he isn't exactly a marketers wet dream. The Donaire win is ageing like a fine Castillo del Wajay Tempranillo.

Probably GRJ. I didn’t expect that much from him, but why wasn’t he fighting? GRJ didn’t fight anyone until Lomachenko, he did better than I thought he would, and then he fought who? JoJo? He finally proved he was legit against Lomachenko, showed some skill after that.. then gone. Just talking about how great he is and how he would beat everyone.

Rigondeaux won two Olympic golds and had that epic win against Donaire. Legendary amateur and a legendary pro for that ATG performance. We got to see how great he was. We still don’t know much about GRJ.

Rigo actually had a mega bonafide top p4p opponent win.

Gary Russell had 1 fight per year since 2015. Can you imagine if he fought 2 or 3 times a year? After Lomachenko left Featherweight, it was his for the taking.

With his talents and prime years, he could have been undisputed at feather if he was more active.

GRJ could have been p4p top 5.
    He just doesn't love boxing.
I presume when he's low on money, he picks up another fight and barely prepares for it. You can clearly see his heart isn't in it now.

He could have been great and has all the tools.

GRJs gross inactivity was a disappointment to many fans. He wasted his prime be not seeking to unify his division.

It's funny how guys dedicate their whole lives to boxing, and some of us go online and just rip them apart because they didn't live up to "our standards."

When you're #2 in the NATION at the age of 12 and already a FIVE-TIME amateur champion ... A COUPLE DECADES later, after winning a world title, maybe you just aren't into it as much as you were, say, as a CHILD, and decide to run out the clock and coast to the finish line.

How many of us still LOVE to do what we did when we were 10?

Gary Russell Jr. vs. Sadam Ali (80-pounds/12-13 year-old age bracket)

At least Rigo had the excuse of going pro late.

Russell on the other hand has wasted his prime years as a pro.

He is still young enough however to make something of the rest of his career.
