Not that I'm a Tony Ayala Jr. fan,,,,,, But any of his bouts A.P.R. (After Prison Release) have no bearing on his overall talent level. If anything, that scheduled bout in 1983 with Davey Moore would have been a 'great battle', and if anything, probably would have warranted a rematch or possibly a trifecta. It could have been like a 'pre' Mickey Ward - Arturo Gatti Trilogy. As a side note; Jeff Passero a club-fighter Light-Middleweight out of Maryland, who fought Davey Moore and sparred with Tony Ayala Jr., said they were both equal in the ring, each one was very good.
