    Juan Manuel Marquez

    Natural weight: 126
Weight class before Floyd fight: Two fights at 135, before that 130
    Catchweight for Floyd fight: 144
Weighed in for Floyd fight: 142
Weight in next fight after Floyd: 133 1/2

    Antonio Margarito

    Natural weight: 147
Weight class before Manny: Previous fight at 154, before that 147
Catchweight for Manny fight: 150 or 151

Who will be more physically affected by making the catchweight, Marquez or Margarito? :bbb

Marquez was a career featherweight so obviously it's him. Margarito has fought at 147 and 154 so he shouldn't have much problem making the weight limit. I just don't think it should have been a title fight for 154.

I don't understand why they can't just fight at 147 where pac can defend his wbo title.

I think what stinks the most is making a catchweight fight and then coming in 3lb overweight. lol

    Marquez obviously.
Though it wasn't for a title.

Pac asking for Catchweight against a guy with no choices.
margarito wouldn't refuse to fight at 148 if that's what pac wanted.

Answer: Marquez because he is the physically smaller fighter.
(Margarito will be the bigger fighter regardless @ 151)

Bigger effect ...Marquez, he was moving up two weight classes and was clearly the smaller boxer.

Although we have yet to see Margarito at or below this weight in over a year.

I've always believed that losing weight has more effect on a boxer than gaining weight (in the majority of situations anyway).

Is this a joke? marquez at 144 of course. Tony fought many times at welter weight, 151 is actually a bonus for him! Pac could of demanded the fight to be at welter weight rightfully so!

Thread starter clearly missing the point.

Pac will win another title at another catchweight. History wont look to kindly on that.
