Bigger fan base Cotto or Mayweather Jr.

Floyd would out sell cotto in a ppv fighting the same person.

Floyd is very well known. He may not be liked but everone knows that he is the man in boxing.

Truth be told WWE had thier highest PPV with FLOYD as the main event. Floyd was the other half of the richest fight in Boxing history. Common thing there is Floyd.

Floyd Oscar did better then Oscar Tito....So are you going to tell me that Cotto is bigger now then Tito was then???:blurp

Mayweather. If he doesn't have a bigger "fan base", then he is a bigger money draw, as he (at least as of now) has proven to be a better PPV seller than Cotto.

PPV generates more money than ticket sales.

Cotto's is growing, Mayweather's is rapidly declining.

 

Since there are so many American boxers to choose from, it only makes since that PBF can't get everyone to be his fan. I pick PBF with a slight edge over Cotto in number of fans.

What gets Mayweather draw is also allot of hate ..The amount of people that hate Floyd tune in just to watch him lose.

That may not be a fan base but its a key to his draw.

Cotto hands down has a bigger fan base .More people fully support him ..

Not sure if that translates to big PPV numbers yet but he keeps going like he has been going he'll be as big as Floyd if not bigger ..

 

mayweather has a large portion of the african american communtiy backing him up, id say young black males form the ages of about 18 to early mid 30's.
then you count the number of boxing fans that want to see pbf lose and that number is large im sure of.

thats why mayweather can put asses in seats, cause theres a small black community that want him to always win and then theres the rest that want him to lose.you add those numbers together and you will see why he and oscar did 2 million.

people aint that happy to oscar fight, but they are very happy to see pbf lose.that is why he can sale tickets.he dont need all the fans, his own race of fans will do just fine.anyone else gone by ticket to see him lose.

 

People dont realize how big Mayweather's appearance on WWF made him. My neices and nephews (ages 6-13) know who Mayweather is and they dont watch boxing. Hes a household name now. Hopefully, he takes the Cotto fight.

You fight cotto and get an ass-whipping and a nice payday. You fight Floyd and get an ass-whipping and a very, very huge payday. Numbers don't lie!! Gatti, Judah, Hatton, and Oscar got career high paydays fighting Floyd. And so will Cotto.
