Neither of them were hypejobs. You obviously don't know what that word means.

"Hey guys, someone who was a multiple unified champion for years is a hype job, give me likes."

That's you. That's how you sound. Jesus wept at this post.

    Naz and it's not close.

At least AJ attempted to avenge his losses, beating - an admittedly rotund Ruiz from a distance - and trying as best he could to solve the riddle that is Usyk.

Barrera literraly retired Nazs with one great display.

Disagree to an extent - Naz was a bit of a hypejob, because after the Barrera defeat he realised that he wasn't as good as he thought he was and just gave up.

To his credit, AJ has at least attempted to avenge his defeats.

Must be said though is the whole 'hyping' is a media device and not really on the fighters themselves

"Athletically, he's among the top featherweights ever. He had ridiculous power, bags of stamina - even when he didn't train properly - very good reflexes, lots of explosiveness, very agile and one of the most flexible fighters I've ever seen. He did almost everything from a boxing standpoint, but he was very good because of his athleticism and mindset. He was a mean mutha****er when he wanted to be.

He's actually quite underrated when it comes to résumé, IMO. He beat eight men ranked in Ring's top five. Bungu, McCullough, Kelley, Vazquez, Ingle, Soto, Johnson and Robinson."

Credit for the above to @George Crowcroft

We will simply have to agree to disagree here. Hamed held multiple championships, IBF, WBO, for six years against top guys. That is NOT a hypejob.

I understand he pissed a lot of people off and rubbed many more the wrong way which causes people to reflect on his career negatively.

Naz. Joshua actually made big fights happen where Naz ran from them.

Tbf I agree that in principle callingeven a champ a "hypejob" is disrespectful. But being in the UK, the hype for Naz was off the scale - at it's peak it was RIDONKULOUS!!! And tbf no one could possibly hope to stand up to that level of expectation.

But with Naz the hype level was intimating a Duran or Leonard, but we got more like a Froch or Groves (and not sure I'd rank Hamed higher than either)

    My 2c

Neither were hype jobs. Both are amongst the beta to ever lace them up from our country.

    Who was
Your country isn't very special when it comes to boxing. That's why guys like AJ, Prince Naseem and Amir Kahn were all overhyped. Anytime the UK has a great prospect they overhype it
