Losing to the number 1 is exposed. ?

Fans are amazing they have the luxury to critique the minute details of anyones career. No fighter is perfect .. No fighter is perfect.. NO FIGHTER IS PERFECT. I hope this helps you understand.

And nothing wrong with having fans like a fighter and praise him. Not many have "perfect records" yet they are still HOF ..

Williams has shown he can come back to the top from a defeat as he did with Quintana. With Martinez, it was a different type of defeat so it remains to be seen how he will handle that, but I think he handled the Quintana loss pretty well and went on the beat Sergio and Quintana. I'd say Pavlik is the more exposed fighter. It seems he hasn't been the same or have a significant win since his loss to Hopkins. It's up to him and he knows the changes that need to be done and work on those weaknesses. He basically needs a Roach or Richardson and make adjustments to his style.

Kelly Pavlik is one of only 5 men in the history of the middleweight division who won the world championship while still undefeated. On his way up he fought absolutely everyone "boxing politics" told him he had to fight, and no one lasted more than 9 rounds with him. He won the lineal title by knocking out the undefeated, undisputed middleweight champion of the world. A champion who held 2 wins over living legend Bernard Hopkins.

Paul Williams beat Margarito back when Tony was consider one of the most feared welterweights in the world. He went on to score wins over Quintana, Phillips, Wright, Martinez, and Cintron in 3 different divisions. He's a two time welterweight world titlist, and still a legit top 10 contender at 147, 154, and 160.

Only a complete and utter ****-wit would use the term "hype-job" in connection with either of these fighters.

ALRIGHT GIRLs, you don't have to be so tough on me, u are gonna make me cry.... But, seriously now, both Pav & Williams are good or maybe very good boxers, but guess what??? Their promotion was even better, AND THAT, my friends, makes them being a bit hyped at the very least... seems reasonable? Yes it does, wether u like it or not, sorry!! I remember HBO, promoters AND fans all over, specially here in ESB talking about them as if they were going to achieve more, I mean, A LOT MORE, than they did or seem to be able to do at this point.... Yes, they r good boxers. Yes, they may recover, but again, yes they were hyped at least a bit. OHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhh, and no, I'm not taking anything away from the GREAT SM like some have already suggested, maybe actually just highlighting the fact that he came out of nowhere (NOT BEING HYPED) while the other two were.... after all SM did exist all this time and he was that good all this time, is just that the attention was on the other two because of the hype HBO created on them. After all, it's their job (HBO) to promote them, it IS the fans' job to discern and know who's being, again, overly hyped....

heheh can't believe more people think Pavlik is more hype than Williams. I mean, Pavlik at least busted up some good boxers and champions, unlike Williams who hasn't won a fight against a top dog since Margarito.

:adminHe never beat Martinez, & btw let me ask something, how is it that everybody mentions that Williams didn't have much time to train 4 Martinez during their first fight and not give Martinez that edge???? Seriously, PW was already training AND Martinez was the one who took a fight with short notice.... oh well, we all know now what a fully trained SM can do against a fully trained PW!

Never was sold on both since the first time i saw the two combatants the first impression i had was no special effects. Like Floy says "straight up and down no special effect".In other words nothing special. Good fighters but beatable as they come.Pavlik is slow mo and williams has no defense at all and a shaky chin at that.I watch Pavlik and william nothing really grabs your attention mostly 12 round boring snoozefest.

Oh Necky, you'll never learn... u really don't want Cotto anywhere near PW, it could very well be a career ender 4 Williams. Make no mistake, Cotto is no Quintana, and at this point I tend to believe what Quintana said last week about him still being able to defeat PW... after all he probably knows since he was sparring with Paul for this fight!

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS:

You could put 2 midgets fighting against each other, one ko the other, does that mean that he is p4p worthy??

you could put the 2 klitcho's against each other, one ko the other....does that mean the one that lost is a hype job??
