To the general public in the UK(outside boxing fans). Id say this is the biggest fight for many years. Probably since Lewis/Tyson or before that even. Probably Tyson V Bruno was the last one bigger. Its a real throw back to those popular boxing times anyway. Benn, Eubank etc

It would be great if SKY released their PPV box office numbers the way HBO do for their big fights.

This are the biggest fights since 1970 (probably the biggest fights ever):

    Frazier-Ali
    Ali-Foreman
    Leonard-Hearns
    Leonard-Duran
    Hearns-Hagler
    Hagler-Leonard
    Chavez-Taylor
    Tyson-Spinks
    Tyson-Holyfield
    Trinidad-De la Hoya
    Tyson-Lewis
    Mayweather-De la Hoya

Not sure if Chavez-Whitaker was so big. Also, I'm not sure if Mayweather-Hatton deserves to be in the list.

8 out of those 12 bouts were classic fights IMO - so that's a good indicator i guess
